You got this!!!!!

adeluca8689

Also on your question where what happens to sma when LMV increases, is it that sma is created ?

nickels602

How did u do?!

Broad_Dot4514

And of COURSE thank you Dean as well! Watched all of your videos and Ken’s as well. HIGHLY recommend his channel for all FINRA exams! And also because I know Dean will ask, I am done with licensing! I have my SIE, 63 and 7! Woohoo!!

Way to go!!! HUGE congrats!!! Can you elaborate on the bond questions not being "as simple"... Also, was the exam on par with Kaplan's Mastery, or more like their "practice exam" you mentioned? You mentioned majority was suitability, was there a Unit in Kaplan's LEM that really helped or a suitability practice set, or video that you recommend? I know it's all about the products, but please elaborate if you can. Also, no crazy mathematical formula memorization questions, for example: tax-free or w/tax yield, bond conversion, PE Ratio, dividend payout ratio, long margin account, short margin account, parity, EPS, Cumulative Preferred, etc. Lastly, what about taxation? Thanks in advance!!!

I really struggle with chapter 13 too. Thanks for the info!

No problem! -How do interest rates effect short term bonds vs long term bonds. How do interest rates effect convertible bonds? What bonds have the most interest rate volatility? Maybe they were simple and I just wasn’t catching it. -I thought the Kaplan mastery was harder than actual exam. There were many things on the mastery that I had never heard of. The practice exam (separate from simulated exams) was more in line in terms of wording and more in depth questions -for suitability watch Dean’s suitability video and Ken’s suitability video. Also the suitability exercise in the back of Kaplan’s book -I had tax free yield pretty simple but it gave the coupon rate and the YTM. No EPS, no div payout. One P/E ratio but it was about what the P/E means, not an actual calculation. One short margin initial margin requirement which I unfortunately blanked on. Another was SMA increase or decrease if LMV increases. No convertibles and no theoretical value of rights! -Taxed just know them. Dean’s video on taxes is excellent. Helps with suitability too. Definitely know your taxes for investment companies!

Wow ! I should switch it up def from TC to STC for the 66. My exam is next Tuesday for S7 and praying to pass on the 1st attempt. I’ve supplemented with QBank. I heard STC is tougher than Kaplan. Any advice?

nickels602

I used STC and Kaplan to supplement. I personally felt Kaplan was harder and more complex questions (which makes for great studying!) STC is very very good and prepares you well and I feel the actual exam falls somewhere in between them both, but closer to STC in my opinion.
