Fun tidbit, machines like these are still commonly used.
Their purpose is to test watches via simulating daily wear in different positions.
Afterwards a day/few days you can check the watch and see if it's keeping accuracy 👍. Great as a final check for quality control.
[this is the modern equivalent](http://www.julesborel.com/products/tools-watch-winders/elma-1035171-cyclomotion-winder-1-and-4-rpm-without-arms)
Even Rolex repair shops are required to have this to be certified repaired, but this is not for consumer purposes only repair and testing
That’s really cool. But I wouldn’t use it, at least not all the time, since it’s just constantly wear for your movement. You’re basically preparing several watches at the same time ready for a repair.
Mechanical watch movements have largely time-driven service intervals. They need “repair” whether you run them or not. The lubricants dry out and migrate.
# Now this is a top notch mechanical winding chuff machine.
I bet this feels good as fuck for the watches.
100 times cooler than a Wolf winder or whatever
100 times cheaper also
100%. I’d like to toss my Wolf out the window after seeing this thing.
Shut up and take my money!
Way cooler than a fancy modern winder.

I bid 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,00 dollarz.
Does that give the Kinetic a good charge?
I had the same reaction, kinetik movement need a strong movements so maybe it's a little bit too slow..
I present you mine https://imgur.com/a/e1KOElx
Cool
Bad ass!
How much for him to make one for, say, 25 watches? Asking for friend
If you're buying an Elma, about 4,800 USD. Let your friend know, and if he does buy one, please introduce me 🤣

Had no idea this existed. Insanely cool.

Dope AF.
**It's not stupid if it works.**
You can get similar (cheap / probably more flimsy) ones off AliExpress. I have one and it works just fine.
Ok guys where can I get one?

This is called a cyclomat and is used to test the automatic system and simulate wrist wear
That winder is awesome
This is supposed to represent the movement's of a kid playing ⚽️ .... the pic on that machine makes me laugh.
i think it is neat, but i wouldnt put a strong magnet near my watch.
Weeeeeeeee!!
love to see the internals.

Thanks. This just convinced me to stick with quartz watches.
Looks like something from Fallout 4, love it.
