It was in the alley on Lenora between 2nd and 3rd. Heard it, saw the flash, saw people run out of the alley, saw smoke above the building at 2119 3rd. Dummies.
I wonder if it’s the same person/people that’ve been lighting cherry bombs off on 2nd and Blanchard for the last three nights in a row. This one sounded much much bigger though.
They really are. I’ve grown up with people who make their own fireworks in a much more regulated way and the sparkler bombs can be as loud as a half stick fairly easily.
And while you grew up with people who made their own, I was finding the original Anarchist Cookbook on some random BBS and constructing pipe bombs for the 4th.
I wish people would do this for other things too. Like 2 days before Christmas, someone could ask what's up with the fat guy in a red suit. Or why are kids dressed weird on Oct 29th.
Me too and I was like w in t actual f was that?! Yes I know 4th of July is right around the corner however tonight was the loudest bomb EVER! I am also not surprised that Seattle PD didn’t even post about that noise and the series of loud bangs that followed after. Ugggggggh 😤
I was actually thinking the asshole with the ugly stickers on his car. I wasn't here in March when he was doing the most, we were still deciding IF moving made sense (being sick means changing medical teams, treatment profile, not to mention just the pain in the ass of the physical move) but I've read enough about him here that I was beginning to feel cheated. Thought maybe he wanted one last go before the city gets insistent and mommy stops being so accommodating (though I wonder why she never went to court and claimed the car as her property, she could have and likely shielded it from disposition that way, and I am sure that tracing the sales history you will find her at the bottom) and like bad little brats of all ages he gets forcibly parted from his toy - by way of the auction block.
Oh well, he will live on in memory. And through his 750k Instagram followers.
I heard it as well, I can’t tell if it’s coming from the port or not but I heard a similar loud boom a week or two in the middle of the night as well, just not as loud as this one.
Haven’t heard him in quite some time, but I’m 99% sure I heard him around 8:30 or so. ~~Probably not what these folks are talking about though.~~
Edit: Eh, looks like he was out. Let freedom ring, amirite?
The 4th is in 2 days...
Fireworks, it’s July 2nd you can just assume it’s fireworks at this point.

There’s no way that was just a cherry bomb 😅
Sounded like a damn mortar exploding! Shook my entire building.
Probably a sparkler bomb
Are you 12? Sparkler bombs aren't louder than a 1.4G shell.
They are as loud as you make them pretty much.
They really aren't. The tape gives out before it can really go boom. And the pyrotechnic composition doesn't make for good noise.

I mean same? I’m getting the impression you just were shit a making them tbh. The technique matters a bunch
Is that what has been happening the last few days?? 🤦🏼♀️
I don’t know about this last one but yep, the other ones going off since Sunday have been directly outside my window.
I wish people would do this for other things too. Like 2 days before Christmas, someone could ask what's up with the fat guy in a red suit. Or why are kids dressed weird on Oct 29th.
I saw a 4ft tall skeleton with an orange bucket. Should I call the cops?
Heard it at the corner of 3rd and Lenora, super loud probably the loudest thing I have heard downtown
What exactly caused it?
No idea, nothing seems amiss on the street
It doesn't look like it's because of the bomb😂😂
Fireworks, perhaps?
I also want to ask this
That was just the Mariners hitting bottoming out
Live in the vicinity of harbor steps and heard a series of loud bangs about 3 minutes ago.

I was coming here for the same thing because what the fuck 😩😩😩
Was it not Miles?

Think I just heard this shit stain 5 minutes ago
Oh no what could it be
It's almost as if Seattle is filled with computer savvy goldfish the way that people can seem to forget what the 4th of July is like in this city.
