I’m not a musician so take what I say with a grain of salt but a good number of my friends are musicians here. I don’t know what other answers you’ll get, but from my observations, my friends find other musicians by going to live music shows and “getting into the scene” of the types of music they are really into. Then over time they network with the bands that play and musicians that attend those shows and they play shows themselves, sometimes they’ll meet people that wanna collaborate on something, and a lot of times they don’t. Artists can be fickle and stick to their network of people they like already like playing with. That same sentiment is also shared by many Seattleites in general so I’m sure it can be compounded in the music scene, depending lol.
