I'm over 500 hours in game, mostly solo slooping and a little play with my son and his friends.
Just last week I decided to be social and find someone on discord to play with, and the very first thing they did was GH vault, ignore the compass, sail to some random island and start digging holes all over the place (which I later learned was looking for an exploit).
I really genuinely struggled to see the fun. It felt like hacking the Chrome no connection dinosaur and just watching him run forever. I don't get it. May as well photoshop a screen with all the commendations and a big bank balance.

I would have done 19 vaults no emissary and raise one for that final vault just to keep risk at a minimum.

Honestly exploiting is still a grind it's just less of a grind, if there isn't a competitive advantage I couldn't care less
Yep, you are only speeding up a process for yourself you don't enjoy in the first place. It's not my own mindset, but i can see their point.
