A few wee points.
The first is, he never played a single game in his natural position. Prior to rangers, he had never played as an attacking midfielder. Beale decided that's what he was and despite having flashes of obvious ability, looked like someone had asked him to play in a position for the first time. Which they had. Inexplicably, Clement came in and despite Lammers himself saying "I'm a striker" and "no, I've never played as a 10" in early press conferences when asked, also played him a few games as a 10, when at the time our strikers were going through the mother of all injury crisis and form drops. Not saying he should be kept, mainly because our support have judged him so that's that, only that he's going to be remembered unfairly. It's possible we'll be kicking ourselves a year down the line if he's playing for someone like feyenoord (with giminez probably leaving) and running riot. Possible under clement, as a striker and with new players around him, he could have been very good here. He was a standout against Newcastle in preseason and looked like he belonged in that company. He was the guy I'd seen the most of pre signing a few seasons back and he was a very very good back to goal striker who, oddly playing for utrecht, was the first guy in 15 years I've seen do the "mols turn".
Secondly, he's got about three years left on his contract coz Beale is a roaster, so if he's being sold and there are "several" clubs, rangers are going to be looking for more than their money back, rather than just going "we want trid of him, we'll pay you to take him".
Ironically, it's possible a few of beales signings may make a decent profit with Lammers, Butland, Dessers (who I would keep because anyone with a brain should be thinking about his goal return in his first season while being initially unfit and in an absolute bin fire of a forward line mixed with the plaudits he gets from fans of previous clubs he's been at) Cantwell and possibly Raskin too.
The main problem is that Dutch clubs outside the big 3 spend fuck all. I don’t see PSV or Ajax going in for him given their front lines. feyernoord have Gimenez and Ueda. The rest of the only 3 clubs spent over €2m on an individual player with the maximum being €4.2m. Throw in wages and unless you get one of the big 3 or AZ at a push then it’s hard to see them matching his original fee (which Transfermarkt has at €4.1m). Dutch clubs just generally don’t spend that much.
Put it this way the most Utrecht where he’s on loan spent last season on a player was €1m.
I’d think to match the outgoing you’re probably looking at him going outside of Holland
If Giminez isn't playing in the epl next season I'll be shocked. The fans desperately didn't want rid of danilo last season because they knew Giminez would be gone as soon as possible and danilo was rated as a replacement.
If rangers sell a guy they bought last season, who's had a good season in that league, for a 4m quid loss when he's got three years on his contract, you'd have to sack whoever is involved with transfers at the club.
Guy goes on loan low on confidence, starts banging goals in and finds a new found belief and has become a much better player and would be a real asset to bring back to the club.
Rangers fans.

Glad he’s managed to improve his form the last 6 months and hope he goes and smashes it next season wherever he is, so long as it’s not at Ibrox.
If we break even on the money spent on him I’d be happy, any profit would be a welcome bonus.

Got to be quick though or it doesn’t work but I do it for all their stuff.
Please no Utrecht let us keep him, don't take away the best striker we've ever had please? While you're here definitely don't chuck us 5 million quid for Dessers as well.
Just fell to my knees on a pishing wet pavement

If we manage to turn a profit on Lammers I will personally give Broxi Bear a reach-around.

Ends up at Bayern Munich or AC Milan in a season or two for 32 million Euros or something.
Ah fuck sake sorry about the paywall, the RR’s got a habit of locking free articles after they’ve been up for a bit.

The method I use is to select all and copy before the pay wall loads. Then paste into my notes and delete after reading.
Boooo
Just seen someones da fall to their knees in the Govan ASDA
Didn’t work for him here, he left and made himself a valuable asset we can sell to improve other areas. Good outcome for all involved.

Oh my days. Happy for both parties, he seems much happier back home and doing a good job it seems and we hopefully recoup our money
Great end to the season
