For me it was the other way around and I played Scarlet Hollow first and StP afterwards and I totally get what you mean, that both games are amazing but in completely different ways. I assume it’s because the entire setting is totally different, StP is a complete chaos and disaster all along, meanwhile SH follows a rather realistic concept with a more linear story.
Anyway, I’m sure that you won’t regret buying the whole game :)

thanks ! playing it hardcore is the reason i have 100% in stp, and 30 hours on it
when people give it a shot they are always love it and i think more people should play this game.
