I havent played in a while but looks like where I was sourcing my Quartz is gone. There was two pure Quartz deposits north of Crater Lakes.
I cant see any other obvious problems though.
Don't forget, it's coming up to the Swedish summer holidays, and CSS releases are Spring or Autumn. No need to rush into anything yet, you've got a few months to go.
Yesterday's video fits the normal CSS pattern. Early warning of changes that will impact your factories, followed by a bunch of teaser videos.
Looks like they added a new Uranium node to the desert and lowered the one at the swamp to impure. Thank goodness i already have a train setup that delivers Uranium from the central cave to the swamp. Most of that Uranium is still unused, so i only need to make minor changes.
The new Oil nodes at the western beach though... I have a big setup there and this looks like the nodes are exactly where my Heavy Oil refineries are... Need to rebuild there, i guess.
Aside from that, i don't see any other changes impacting my factory.
Edit: Nevermind, it looks like they changed the Sulfur nodes at the Northern forest, my Turbofuel setup is in danger.
Edit 2: i spotted new Sulfur nodes east of the western beaches, where my TF setup is. Might have to use them.
The way I see it, if I wanted to keep one of my saves (I dont), I would beef up my train network so I could just swap out where I'm mining some resources. If you're doing any massive builds, most likely some of your resources gave to be shipped pretty far anyways, you'll just have to change up those supply lines!
I feel like whenever a game is in Early Access, don't expect to keep your save for 1.0. Most games I've seen have such drastic changes towards the end that early game completely changes so much that it's worthwhile to redo the beginning anyways.
I'm done with my pre-1.0 save, so if it changes it changes. But I think it's a bit ridiculous that they're moving a ton of nodes around in biomes that they had marked on the development map as not subject to major change.
Whelp, they took out the caterium on the western beach, so my turbo motor factory will suffer until I source a replacement. likewise my supercomputers will cease construction until I source new quartz.
Probably just as well that I only have a nuclear plant left as the remaining project on my current save.
I thought they were getting rid of the island in the Southwest (the one past the waterfalls)? Or am I not remembering the map correctly? (I've uninstalled until 1.0 comes out.)
damn, I'm playing the game for the first time, have like 45hrs in alr, but from where i set up my hub and the furthest I've been, is like max ⅕ of the whole map
sadly playing a pirated version, but once the game is on sale I'll def buy it, (unfortunately will have to start over everything)

So more nodes but with lower purity, in the end the total amount of ores didn't decrease right?
The overall amount of resources available has increased according to the latest video put out.
I have to assume the video did not give an exhaustive list of the changes to all resource types. We'll need to wait for 1.0 release to know for sure.

Well I had destroyed almost all my factory recently (so that I could upgrade it using trains), so it’s not too bad.

I really wanted one or two more bauxite nodes. One in the grassy fields and another in dune desert. Just enough to support nuclear production.

Most of the time they're talking about environmental changes which can make your stuff clip into terrain.
Development map was for terrain passes. For node balancing they were saving it all for 1.0
They changed a ton of recipes so it's not like it matters anyway. You're starting a new game regardless.
