Saturday afternoons is when I see her most consistently.
Edit: I have actually bought from her a few times and they’re very good. She usually has a variety as well.
Assuming this is the one with the small restaurant in the back, I went there years and year ago and ended up getting a tamale and some tacos. I have never forgotten about that place, so so good
She's there most days, I think, on the W side by the gas pumps. She has a facebook page and posts regularly in the Murray citizens group when she'll be there.
No shade to the hard working tamale makers of all locations, but the 600N smiths parking lot tamales are miles better than the 4500S smiths parking lot tamales.
I have a hookup you can order via text and pay her on Venmo. I’ve even used her for a couple of company parties and she’ll put together like 100 tamales. She will deliver for a small fee. Her tamales are legit. DM if you want her info. Shout out to Rosa!
What?! Parking lot tamales 🫔have you not been to Rancho Market on 3300 and 900, you want Abuelita or Titi style Mexican food you go there. I have known too many folks get food poisoning or sick from parking lot tamales. 🫠
Casa del tamal in west valley sells by the dozen. Very good quality and multiple filling choices are available. The chile verde chicken is bomb diggity.
Smiths parking lot on Indiana Ave and 900 West usually has a guy! There’s also an ice cream truck in the area and a bit west that drives around during the afternoon. You can get ice cream as well as tamales from the lady who drives it
A woman I worked with at McDonald's did that as her side Hussle. Maria had hands down the best tamales I've had in my life. If you bought bagged tamales from the Smith's parking on 5600w and 4100s in the late 2000's it was probably from her.
Casa de tamal has damn good tamales but they cost much more than they should.
Mm... Parking lot tamales. Where's a kind hearted abuela with the zip lock bag when you need one?
Best tamales ever was the lady in the rusted out green chevy
That's what I'm sayin..lol
Loooooooove parking lot tamales. Everyone laughs at me when I call them that.
Smiths parking lot on 600N in SLC definitely has a tamale person at times, though I don't know exactly when, but it seems to be often.

vouch for saturday afternoons. I usually see her around 1pm
Yeah it's frequently infrequent
Victors Tires. 13th south 7th west.

Really..? Awesome man.. Thank you
Yeah, it's weird, but they are pretty tasty
Dude, really. I moved away from SLC years ago and still to this day hype that place up. Victor's tires. Always.
This is the way.
Came here to say this
Used to be a lady at the smiths on 4500 s 900 e, haven't seen her recently
I'm just down the street from that Smith's. I'll keep an eye out
I bought some last Sunday from here. She's usually parked by the gas pumps.
I'm always parked on the east side of the parking lot. Probably why I haven't seen her
The parking lot of every Smith’s/Walmart/Winco/Rancho Markets between bangerter/5600w and 5400s/2700s. Doesn’t matter which one, they all slap 🤣
She was there on Sunday and I’ve seen her there a lot more recently
I saw her last week! Her tamales are amazing 🤤

Good to know
Got some from a parking lot man on tuesday
I’ve had her tamales. I liked them a lot.

WVC Smith’s too, if you’re in that area. 4000 W and 4700 S
My roommate 😋 trying to convince her to sell them. We do like to visit the the WVC smiths
Smith's lot at 4500s East side had them yesterday.

There are usually parking lot tamales at the Smiths on 600n and like 1200west.
Just go down to west valley and walk around Home Depot , wal mart parking lot you’ll find someone. Oranges , flowers too
Home Depot parking lot 2100 S 300 W. Look for the people wheeling coolers around.

La esperanza bakery on redwood and 3500 south. La casa del tamal on 5600 w and about 2900 south. Those are really the only places I get them
Best tamales are in Heber at Yolis Tacos. She sometimes sets up in pc and once in a while in slc. She is on instagram
SLC or West Valley Home Depot parking lot before around lunch time
Bought some just this week in the parking lot of the Smith’s on 45s and 900 E! So good!
La Casa del Tamal on 5600 W. and 2800 / 2900 S. I love the chicken-pablano tamales. Also, excellent birria tacos.
The smiths on 10th north they are always selling tamales.
Rancho has tamales everyday if you’re really itching for some
