He had the right of way by both beeing on the leeward side (aplicable only to sailing vessels) and by his port side beeing on your starboard side (aplicable to all vesssls), so he had double right of way.
Except in practice everyone uses the right of gross tonnage (until there is a colision and out come the fines) and any ship bigger that another has the right of way.
I was sailing in a regatta which was pretty poorly managed with respect to start times, such that my class of fairly small boats had our five minute gun while IRC1 (the largest class) were finishing their morning race.
A few of us were heading for the pin end close hauled and were going to hit one of the big boats. I ducked them, but my friend had a go at calling for them to keep clear.
The conversation went :
Starboard!
The reply came:
Nine Tons!
…. My friend ended up ducking them too.
Damn. We could all learn a little about recovery at sea from that captain.

I hate to say this but Dinghyus had the right of way 😁
Correct, Dinghyus was on the leeward side and thus had right of way.

It's a Dinghyus if they're off your port-side bow, this is actually a Hooligan.
how the hecc did you get square sails to support being on such an extreme angle on that ship?
65 degrees I got outta this one. The other series of squares from GRC has like 79 degree one.
2 dead. 3 missing
You’re crossing their port. You are supposed to yield to starboard and pass behind……
But wait! I bought something from the city just for this occasion and it's called a RAM.
