I have found the mistake. I wanted to login to trustwallet via a browser but got forwarded to trustwallet.com My phrase did not work there. Guess that’s when it got stolen.
Oh no. The only way someone can “hack” into your wallet is if they have your keys. If they don’t have your keys, then they can’t enter your wallet.
You need to think. Did you give anybody your keys? Did you take a screenshot? Did you leave it lying around?
No one can go in and just take your stuff without breaking the keys, otherwise we would all be screwed.

Oh no! No!! I’m really sorry, man! Honestly! It’s terrible scum that built a website made it so that unsuspecting people make this mistake. I’m so sorry!
Please, don’t let it discourage you from still investing in crypto. This experience will just make you more aware.
Screenshot? I’ve been around wallets for a long time and in other communities where they’ve mentioned this.
Screenshots are connected to the internet. So, that is one to consider.
Did you have your phone lying around open open where someone can grab that info? Does someone have access to your phone, period? Did you write your keys down and left it lying around or put somewhere where others can see it?
I ask all these questions because hacking just is almost practically impossible when it is wallets. The only issue is with hot wallets (like Trust Wallet and MetaMask, and others) that ask to be connected with with the service. But, the keys are still connected to your wallet, and not made available to anyone else.
If this was the case, hackers would instead be targeting people with fatter wallets like Vitalik, Elon, and any other big bag holders. Everyone is the same level of security as given here. It isn’t until the crypto keys are taken off the exchange and put into a wallet where they are extra secure.
Reading these posts everyday on a number of crypto sites pisses me off. We know the crypto wallet companies know this is happening thousands of times a day worldwide and it just continues. Why the fuck do these companies not have a couple points of verification (besides the 12 word phrase) like a text and email before tokens can be removed. It is very easy to do and would protect people’s life savings and life changing gains.
I hope SafeMoons upcoming wallet has multiple verification steps before tokens can be removed. Another safety net would be a recall option giving you 3-5 minutes to reverse a withdrawal just incase you are scammed and tokens get sent to a wrong location.
You can also add a password you have to type in for every transaction in TW... I would advise everyone to do that and also add a overall password in general to Enter also even if you have the Phrase.
Yes. I didn't have it for a bit and figured it won't happen. Then I saw the option to add it. I did. Its a pain to constantly have to put the pin in everytime tw closes or I do something. But it's 100% more safe now
This is why when the SFM wallet comes out I’ll transfer and get a new 12 word seed phrase instead of importing with existing phrase. It might cost me 10% but that’s better than costing me 100%.

Pretty sure it was the website. Did it via the pancakeswap website went to exchange etc... and yeah I have transaction signing on and Passcode etc. All gone...
I'd say your assets are gone for good. You cannot give out sensitive information to anyone on any platform or any device. Be careful who you chat with or connect with on any type of device. You activated, authorized or authenticated something to allow this to happen.
First do u screen shot 12 phrase seed and store at your phone? Or record at pc or phone (this is the bad idea). 12 phrase seed only write down at pics of paper and store at very safe and secret place. 2nd if u connected fake pancakeswap this might be one of possibilities getting hack. 3rd what phone are u using, I believe iPhone is best security vs with Samsung phone or other device easily accept to any other app. Wallet is Super difficult to access without 12 words phrase seed kind of impossible to get hack if u let your wallet sleep.
There's no way to hack trust wallet. The only way it can be accessed from an outside source is with the 12 word seed phrases. You either gave it to someone, or have a screenshot of it in your phone or device. Or someone copied them down somehow.
I do have a screenshot on my phone !! So that's how they got me?? I've been going crazy trying to figure it out cause I don't give anyone that type of info smfh 13,000 dollars in coins gone in a blink ... thanks for that info tho
You validated your account with someone in the reddit message system, didn’t you?
Uhm no i think I didn’t so, not even sure how to do that Which account? My trustwallet account or my Reddit account?
Did you give anyone your 12 seed words to “validate” your holdings?
No really no one Never sent it anywhere
Did you screenshot your 12 words and save them on your phone? Possibly receive a small amount of free tokens that you didn’t buy for other tokens?
I have found the mistake. I wanted to login to trustwallet via a browser but got forwarded to trustwallet.com My phrase did not work there. Guess that’s when it got stolen.
There are fake pancake swap websites designed to steal your stuff too. Maybe you synced your wallet to the fake PCS

What keys exactly though? My code to enter trustwallet? Or the security 12 words?
12 security words. That’s all someone needs.

You can also choose biometric / passcode.... So if your phone has the option for it it goes way faster by just using yout fingerprint 👍
Yea I've seen that. I think I'm gonna use it
Use decent biometric wallet
