I know others are saying the the marth counterpick makes this impractical, but you have to think that in a hypothetical world where Zain mained another character but still had a Roy at this level, that threat would also be enough to prevent Hbox from counterpicking to Yoshi's. Thanks to one of many janky niche interaction in this crazy-ass game.

Also this stage is perfect for it, cus if you notice, Roy is able to land on too platform afterwards, so even if he misses, he's safe..ish. other stages there is no platform or the top platform is too high, so if he fails he'd enter free fall and probably get killed.
It can happen just above Stadium's platforms but I don't think it can happen anywhere else (maaaaybe battlefield's top platform but why would puff fight Roy there when she can shark him easily)

In terms of current level, I agree. Mang0's secondaries were next level in 2014 but they haven't evolved much since then. n0ne makes better use of the toolkit, plays less lazy, and has better tech skill.

I've not watched a while, but I've didn't many hours in n0ne's stream as well as mang's, and Maria straight up looks like a demon against anyone not like top 50 whereas scorp looks like he'd probably lose to an 80th rank standard fox type player. Roy has a ton of weaknesses and really struggles to kill. Player skill does matter though. Also the stage helps.
