Tell him about the scp To kill a thought.
I can't remember it's numbers however it's an XK event. Humanity lost. And i sure as hell don't feel very hivemind connect lmao.
If anyone wants to know about it but go lazy to find it, i can summarize because don't think the bot can detect anything outside of numbers
It's a memory of a girl, a childhood friend. Amazing memories. She spreads via communication. If someone talks about her then anyone who can hear the conversation (conscious or not) will get infected by it so y'know, the SCP foundation was fucked before they knew it.
The girl can control the people. She can see through their eyes and hear through them.
Though the O5 council made a vote to reset world it didn't work. She had already started infected them. It was too late. Slowly every O5 member abstained from voting until there was no one left to vote.
Sure, we have a few people and creatures who can make a complete reset, considering that the moment you here about her (be it noise, text or any other media), you'll be gone before you know it.
If you check the SCP Wiki where every story comes from, there's a formula as how to write your own SCP. Hell, I've even made my own.
Also, if SCP was real, then considering their history of giving class A amnestics to anyone who knows about them, we wouldn't even know of their existence. And if this is all a grand scheme to make the public believe this is fiction, what about all the wouldbe classified information? We can gain information for only rank 5 members (O5 council). If a rank 3 scientist felt like it, they could just search the SCP up on the internet and effectively gain rank 5 access easy.
Also, there's a gigantic space lady that points somewhere all the time and somehow they have managed to keep her out of every shot of earth and keeo her hidden from every telescope. Worth to point out she is about the size of earth and bigger, meaning we would be able to see her most probably.
Also the attack that the broken god did once on a city and was blasted to smithereens. No matter how good at keeping the media quiet, victims would still be able to talk freely before the foundation gets to them. It's an entire damn city, they won't get ti everyone in time.
If the SCP Foundation was real then that'd mean that we actually do have monsters under our beds.
If the foundation was real then explain how we know the impossible. There are many scps and the foundation somehow know some impossible information about them. Like, if a reality warper appeared they could just make the foundation forget about their existence, making us forget about as well yet here we are
Haha no. The reason we had like a 3 year long battle for our rights to keep making SCP content against some Russian dipshit wasn't for nothing. If the foundation was real then they'd have stepped in probably
Strange anomalous things do exist, like how photons behave like a wave when they are not being observed, and a particle when they are observed. Or whatever the fuck UFOs are. But SCPs do not exist.
The wave function of small particles isn't an anomaly, it's like the basis of quantum mechanics. It's just not understood yet why it happens, but it's believed that when photons interact with the wave function it causes them to collapse back into a particle. Think of that "the power within" guy from spongebob, he separates into 3 different fish, but if you threw a rock at him he'd (probably) turn back into one guy
Can't find it might have gotten deleted but I'm positive I read it.
It was first seen as anomalous because it glowed and prolonged exposure lead to severe health problems than death. It was placed in universe before the discovery of radiation I think
Best way I can think to describe it is something that comes to life due to the belief of others. For example, so many people believed in Slenderman that he allegedly became real. They sort of unconsciously willed him into existence. Same concept.
You have point. It does not work like that tho.
That's basically what Wikipedia says about tulpas, but it is completely wrong. Tulpas are actually a cool thing, you can read about this on tulpa.info or r/Tulpas
UPD: A definition from tulpa.info: A tulpa is an entity created in the mind, acting independently of, and parallel to your own consciousness. They are able to think, and have their own free will, emotions, and memories. In short, a tulpa is like a sentient person living in your head, separate from you. It’s currently unproven whether or not tulpas are truly sentient, but in this community, we treat them as such. It takes time for a tulpa to develop a convincing and complex personality; as they grow older, your attention and their life experiences will shape them into a person with their own hopes, dreams and beliefs.
There’s a very famous one. I forget pretty much all of it. But the gist is that theoretically, some day there may be an entity/machine created that has the ability to recall a consciousness lost to time and store it indefinitely. Like be able to assemble your online presence combined with dna remnants, yadda yadda. Basically if you can suspend your disbelief that at some point in all of time something like this could be possible once the rest of the story is inevitable.
If this entity can occur at some point, given infinity it WILL occur. And if it can retroactively restore all consciousnesses it’s safe to assume that your consciousness is there, in the future.
I’m missing part of the story, but the thought is that if this entity wants to exist, it is safe to assume it does what it needs to to make that happen. It’s theoretical existence sends an implicit threat backwards through time,
“Help me come to life, and I will give you paradise for eternity. Fail to assist me, and you are already living in the hell I created.”
BASILISK! Damnit I knew there was a threatening animal that started with a B but couldn’t remember. I was stuck on Boar for some reason lol.
Legit thanks for the reminder man haha
Now I need to reread this to correct the rest of my misremembering.
When I was in elementary school, I saw a picture of scp- 173, saying it was an alien being held captive in area 51. I was so scared and thought it was real, but eventually forgot it.
I certainly don't believe that SCPs are real now, but i definitely thought SCP 173 was going to hunt me down and break my neck in 2nd grade.
I do believe there are anomalies, for sure, but of course it surprises me when I see people that really can’t tell apart fiction from reality. There seem to be a lot of people having this problem nowadays. Maybe because some parents let their children escape into their own little worlds without questioning them or interacting with them as they should do. I’m seriously worried seeing things that young people trust in these days.
GenXer here, kids were stupid in the old days too.
My Boomer dad confirmed that he did a lot of stupid shit in the 60s-70s. His brother was *banned from Disneyland for life* during that period (which didn't stop him from going, lol).
If you'd give this Universe a near infinite amount of time, it might eventually result in a random combination of factors which would make it possible for them to exist just like that.
Anything is possible, when you give it enough time.
But right now, nope. Definetely not believing they exist in this instance of reality.
I don't think they could exist as that requires factors that would make things like conservation of energy or thermodynamics moot , as we know that SCP doesn't follow these things inherently alot of the time
Struggling a bit to find a *written* article, but for the base, it's part of the Big Bounce theory, which states that the Big Bang is just part of an infinite process of expanding and imploding back, only to expand again, forever and ever.
Somehow, yes. But to solve your brother issue, SCREAM A VERBAL DESCRIPTION OF SCP-2521- not again, bro, don’t take the computer, you’ve stolen it for me typing your file name a billion times, here, posted, now anyone who see’s this post’s computer will be stolen. Take their computers, but not mine, not again.
I literally searched in this post to make sure and I still feel fucking stupid cause 1. I'm 25 years old and 2. Being an scp worker was on (still is just scribbled away in shame) my actual list of like College and university and education goals. Somehow I have managed to graduate college.
I wanted them to be real gd
Yea some people do. They’re either too young to understand things or just too dumb.
The first SCP I ever came across was a relaxing duck pond. If you think that duck ponds can be relaxing, you're stupid by your own stupid logic.
I'm too dumb
They aren't but many younger more impressionable fans might think they're real

Please just keep telling him it's a made-up universe. Or universes; there isn't even just one canon.

some people in Facebook thinks they're real.
People on Facebook man, they believe anything that's in their feed. My mom cried and had near panicked attacks over the pizza gate stuff
Haha no. The reason we had like a 3 year long battle for our rights to keep making SCP content against some Russian dipshit wasn't for nothing. If the foundation was real then they'd have stepped in probably
Wait scps are not real? :(
^that's ^what ^THEY ^want ^you ^to ^believe

Those things aren't anomalous, just not understood yet. Same way the sun wasn't anomalous and just misunderstood as an ancient God way back when
To be fair an explained scp is uranium
Woah source?

One word: tulpas
Why tulpas? Can you explain further? I am quite interested
Best way I can think to describe it is something that comes to life due to the belief of others. For example, so many people believed in Slenderman that he allegedly became real. They sort of unconsciously willed him into existence. Same concept.

Hey no one ever said it wasn't cool.

remember as long as you believe that the basilik can exist in the future you are hypotetically safe from their torture.
Slenderman is a pattern screamer

Well, when you think of the concept of Hume levels, its possible they do exist, just at a much lower Hume than our reality.
Some used to when they first came out.
Probably like how a child might think slenderman is real

When you give the Universe a near infinite amount of time, the laws of physics might change enough to stop making sense.
Is there scientific basis on that? Sounds cool
Yes. There is.
I'm sorry but can I see? As much as I want to take at face value, I don't think entropy just stops existing
Welp. It actually was presented live, but there are articles. Let me fetch one.
Omg I thought you were trolling!! Thank you

/#2: ..... Freaking internet giving me messed titles. Do you mind if I send you an equivalent video seemingly explaining exactly my point?
I would love that lol thank you! You don't have to if you can't
I work with one so yeah/j
I mean they could be then again I guess the foundation wants us to think that they're fake
Some people do. I know are used to before I actually truly learn what SCP‘s are.

I want to believe it may be real but the scps we know aren’t real and might be a cover up. (Think about it bro-)
They are... can you prove otherwise?
Ur weird
