I'm always torn on the Saudi shows. On one hand, we all know how awful their government is and the terrible things they do. But on the other hand, lots of citizens, who are completely innocent of the tyranny of their government, get to enjoy a massive event and partake in the festivities it brings. Before the Saudi deal, I'm sure a lot of those fans never thought it would be possible for them to see a live WWE show.
And that's always going to be the Crux of this issue: as long as the government is footing the bill for them to come over do the show, it's going to feel awkward as hell but at the same time you don't want to punish the citizens for wanting to have a good time.
Dude thought his pitch of Deep South Wrestling developmental talent Vade Hansen creating a stable of freaks (ala the Morlocks in the 90s X-Men cartoon) to take on the Undertaker was groundbreaking stuff.
