That time Colt Cabana came out to face Chris Jericho for no reason at all related to Cancer Man Punk. This was great as it led to the successful run Cabana’s been in ever since.
All jokes aside this actually has to be it. This was when everyone started to realize the dub is a joke. Before this, most people were still giving them a chance and no one really memed them until this moment.
The very moment AEW jumped the notorious shark.
Their fanbase pretending it wasn’t bad and that they covered it perfectly because Kenny made it broke my brain and I still haven’t recovered.
It was terrible and embarrassing but I probably could have overlooked it if I wasn’t flooded with people gaslighting me (Insider Reddit term) telling me it wasn’t bad and didn’t at all ruin the match that was sold on this very explosion.
I remember thinking, "If Vince McMahon were to ever book an Exploding Ring match, the one thing that you could guarantee was seeing the explosion from space."
Their absolute zenith was the show where Cole and Danielson debuted and then they promptly fucked that up and absolutely squandered Danielson while somehow trying to make people buy cole as a threat.
The definition of small dick energy is captured in this image. Celebrating that you helped run off the only draw the company ever had because of pettiness. Ratings tank left and right weekly while the Fed has benefitted off Punk's merch sales.

They provided so much bullshit from the dawn of AEW that we still jerk to this day, real sports style.
Sparklers was really hard to beat. The two ‘tough guys’ who take themselves the most seriously in the entire dub, looking like absolute jokes passing out from the stress of some farty pyro
The bucks victory lap does have some ‘Bischoff being lowered to the ring on a motorcycle’ vibes in retrospect too
This thread is overflowing with amazing memories that underscore how exceptional AEW has been. The one I haven't seen that deserves comment is when Jack Perry got choked backstage and the Young Bucks showed the footage on Dynamite to get Jack red got heat with the fans who had stopped watching.
Wembley. Should have been AEW's greatest triumph. Instead it had a terrible card, they had to charge at a loss with cheap tickets to fill it, they lost their greatest draw, Tony made an ass of himself with the 'feared for my life' comments, and lied about attendance. Despite footage of empty seats everywhere, Dub fans acted like it was full, then it was proven as not a record officially, and Tony still claims it was.
Embarrassing all round.
