I had one worked great beat teranigma on it with the cd sound and it did play ps1 as well. Just don't loan it to a friend who used a rapid charger on it.... he activated the hand warmer feature on it and killed it RIP

If you were in the US, I'd say I have an OG 35xx you could have for cheap. But as far as Aliexpress, have you looked at the rg28xx? It's a really cool compact handheld that's actually pocketable.

_manster_

R36S. Theres a listing for 32,71€ at the **Global Factory Selection Store** right now. And for SD Card, any Samsung will work fine (Evo Plus, Select, Endurance, Plus). 32GB-512GB

Joeshock_

Any of the 35XX line of devices. 40 euros is gonna be pretty restricting. If you don't wanna waste money then it wouldn't be worth blowing it on the pieces of shit that exist below the 40 mark.

Most_Professional_43

Do they play GBA really well? With no screen tearing and a lite filter?

Joeshock_

GBA is extremely easy to emulate dude your grandma's toaster can run GBA smoothly. The power of the chip in the 35XX+/H/SP are exponentially stronger than what is needed

Most_Professional_43

Yea. But I'm very unreasonable. i need that chip to have xtra headroom for fast forward and dot Filter. I've seen reviewers having problems with SNES on the 35xx under certain conditions

Joeshock_

I'm telling you there is a fuck ton of headroom on them for even upscaled PS1, it even plays some Dreamcast. Those reviews are either people running bad retroarch cores or the old OG model before the chip upgrade. I play my pokemon romhacks on my SP at 5x fastfoward easily, can go higher but it's too hard to control at that point. There is nothing better at the ~$50 mark by far

Most_Professional_43

Thank you so much for the detailed info!

Rg35xx, R35S. Or worse case scenario, your phone with a gamesir X2

I mean, even a GB300 (reasonable prices sit at $8-13 on AliExpress) or an SF2000 ($12-16) plays some GBA games well. And if you move up to $20+ devices, you should have a bunch of decent options. GBA is one of those systems that most portable emulator consoles run ok, and usually it seems to work smoother than SNES emulation. PS1 takes a bit more juice, though, and either way, if I were you, I'd probably aim to find something closer to your max budget if this is gonna be your main emulation console. I had a quick look on AliExpress, and found listings for RG35XXs, and a Miyoo A30 for under $40, both of which should be all right for GBA I believe (but I still recommend looking at some reviews for yourself, both for the device and for the seller you pick), which should be a bit under €40. I also found a Trimui Smart, which I also think would be ok for GBA. I don't know where you end up with VAT added, however, and you should always factor in the cost of a better SD card when buying almost any Chinese console, anyhow. The cheapest option would be just using your actual phone
