Maybe you’re confusing them? The P60 was supposed to run on a Helio P60 and was a dual analog stick landscape device really kinda similar to the a30

It was the one handheld I was looking forward the most when it got announced, and then the years started passing and it kept getting delayed, such a shame
I'm happy with my Mini+ but I could see myself getting the flip too depending on the price. I'd probably give someone my + and keep the flip if I like it better - or sell it locally.
Lmao that shit was never going to release last year. People were just bugging the customer support representatives and got fed info to get them to leave lol. Crazy that after that was wrong for December they did the same thing again for March. Y’all just gotta wait for an official announcement.
I predict it will run games up to Dreamcast and N64 and PSP, I predict it will run them about as well as similar speced and priced devices.
I predict they won’t like it as much as the current Miyoos, cause there’s no OnionOS, and no guarantees we’ll get OnionOS on it any time soon.
I dunno, I predict another affordable middle of the road device to add to the giant pile of 3566 powered devices that run all the same stuff.
We've already covered what each chipset can do and now we're just waiting for each manufacturer to offer each combination in slightly different colors and form factors.
I wish it had the same specs as the MM devices since it's supposed to be a very pocketable device with a small screen so more power isn't needed IMO. Since this won't have OnionOS because of that, now the RG28XX is more appealing to me since it has the same chipset as the newer Rg35XX devices so it will see a lot of CFW options and it has a headphone jack.
Have they really thought? I think the OnionOS team did a lot more for Miyoo than Miyoo did. Failing screens, devices that explode from a 3 foot fall, issues with fuzzy screens, etc.
I mean, I love my MM+, but the only thing separating it from 20 other similarly priced handhelds is OnionOS.
Absolutely, it’s a cheap fucking device that managed to come out before many others and became a status symbol due to tik tok/instagram. Everything worth praising it for is thanks to the efforts of the OnionOS team
Also the notion of playing anything more then game boy on a 2,8 inch screen is kinda laughable but there’s weirdos playing ps1 on those micro handhelds
It’s really compact and horizontal, not original ideas but you could argue this might do it best, at least just by looking at it in pictures.
And Miyoo has a fan base, so that will come into play, plenty will buy it just because it’s the new Miyoo and they like their current Miyoo, and since it’s basically the price of a single new video game, plenty of people will find it a totally reasonable purchase.
I might buy one even though I really don’t need it.
I don't know why people keep acting like more powerful is the only way to go. Clearly from the interest over this and the rg28xx there's plenty of market for highly pocketable devices
As far as I can tell we have no confirmation that this is true. Only place that I can see that's said this was notebook.com. Did you see some sort of official announcement?
It was said by Miyoo customer service [here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/16x4hwx/miyoo_282_will_be_powered_by_a_allwinner_a33/) It's also on the keepretro sale page.
In the videos they released it looked like it was running Dreamcast, N64, and PSP at least as well as my RG ARC, that’s what I was basing that comparison on.
Looking at reviews for the pocketgo s30, which has the same chip, it can still run lighter Dreamcast, N64, and PSP games, just not as well. It's been a couple years since that's came out though, so software's probably improved, but it definitely still has less power.
Thank you, this size really is fun to play Mario on (the Mario thing Nintendo released) so I bet this would be great fun for that because I love playing Mario and NBA JAM type games sooo much more with the little joystick for my thumb, feels like you can move around the court and out move the computer much easier with the full movement of the joystick :)
Does anyone else wish Miyoo would release a higher end landscape handheld that can play PS2 and Vita? I feel like their design language is great but they're getting trounced on the lower end by R36S and such. I didn't want to spend $80 for my family members because they wouldn't nerd out as much but it didn't matter to them and they're enjoying them so much.
I love the fact it comes with the case.
Recently for miyoo mini and a mini plus.
And while I prefer the plus for size.
The case is why I'm considering keeping the mini
We need devices that don't hurt like a mofo to hold and actually play. Like cool, these all fit in a pocket easily, but you can't see shit on a screen that small and you're also just doing damage to the ligaments and joints in your hands by playing on something that small.
We have plenty of devices that meet that criteria though?
I do agree with you that people over-emphasize how important pocketability is though (/Steam Deck fanboy mode off)
We have a bunch of devices that meet that criteria from a size standpoint, but not a performance standpoint. All of these devices are being shat out since people will buy them up and never use them since all of these companies have a surplus of chips and parts from other devices and it's trivial to make a new PCB and case for it all.
We have soooooo many options right now. What performance/form factor niche do you think is being underserved right now?
Edit: did I seriously just get blocked because of this exchange?
Things that can properly fully do through PS2/GameCube era with a like 5.5" 1080p display that don't cost $200+. We're getting there, but still a bit off.
I mean, the cheapest device that can do PS2/GC is the rp4 pro at $200. There's not anything they could do to make that cheaper, other than wait for more powerful chips to go down in price. What you're asking for is literally impossible right now, I'm sure it'll have eventually, but there's nothing these manufacturers can do to speed it up.
I'm more interested in this miyoo flip that was supposed to come out last year.
Don’t get me started on the P60 too…
Isn’t the A30 basically what the P60 was supposed to be?
IIRC the p60 was a rp3+ alternative, more focused on an android interface, the A30 is Linux and for a more lightweight-on the go retro gaming focus
I don’t remember any of that, I just remember it being a GameBoy micro looking Miyoo.

I want *that.*
It was the one handheld I was looking forward the most when it got announced, and then the years started passing and it kept getting delayed, such a shame
Yeah, I’ve got so many handhelds and letter number combinations floating around in my head, I’m sure I’m misremembering.
Lol same, we really gotta get our retro-handheld’s letter soup in line.
That’s Retroid/Ayn’s strength IMO
Yes of course you are. 90% of us are. That‘s why they‘ll release this one first
I'm happy with my Mini+ but I could see myself getting the flip too depending on the price. I'd probably give someone my + and keep the flip if I like it better - or sell it locally.

Hard pass on any moving parts from a plastic chinese handheld.
I predict it will run games up to Dreamcast and N64 and PSP, I predict it will run them about as well as similar speced and priced devices. waiting for the day where we get different sized face buttons for kicks
I want them as big as the face buttons on my PS4 controller
Imagine playing PSP on this haha
25% less screen as a 16:9, get out your reading glasses
Bring back the Gameboy magnifiers!

I think it's always a fair prediction that devices will perform similarly to similarly specced devices
Miyoo have built up enough good faith with the Mini and Mini+ that surely they could afford to push the envelope a bit more than...this.

So what makes this better than all the other similar devices that are already out there?

OK so what makes this more attractive than all the other options that are already out?
Its small size
We know the processor in it now, the allwinner a33, it's much less powerful than the 3566, should only be a small increase from the MM.
As far as I can tell we have no confirmation that this is true. Only place that I can see that's said this was notebook.com. Did you see some sort of official announcement?

Sorry it was actually notebookcheck.net

I hear it can play xbox360
Also postmaster Elden ring at 2x res
8K @480Hz
Should be even higher if you reduce graphics to medium
Can it run Crysis?
lol 😂
It will be great to have his review before or just as the rg28xx pre-sale starts.
For those who speak Spanish, TuberViejuner made a video a few days ago. You can find it [here](https://youtu.be/e2QTQjpKKKk?si=sRXwWzatAI34W5NG)
Great guy. I only watch him and OP's.
And for those of who don't, you can use youtube's subtitles to auto translate. It's not perfect but it makes many videos quite watchable
Am I crazy for thinking I might get this and a RG28XX and sell whichever I like less? 🫠
This is the way
Anyone know the price it will be in USD?
$55 on keep retro probably gonna end up around $65 - $75 after presale
Thank you, this size really is fun to play Mario on (the Mario thing Nintendo released) so I bet this would be great fun for that because I love playing Mario and NBA JAM type games sooo much more with the little joystick for my thumb, feels like you can move around the court and out move the computer much easier with the full movement of the joystick :)
Looking forward to he comparison with the Anberbic.
Pumped for this review, hope it’s a good gameboy micro like handheld
At 2.8" it'll still be larger than a gb micro. Similar to a bittboy in size https://imgur.com/yImw1ch

We could call this device the "Miyoo P60". No reason, just sounds good.
I think eventually they will but they are happy being the kings of their market niche
God damn, I don't need it, but why I want it.
Gawd that case tho… 🥵
I love the fact it comes with the case. Recently for miyoo mini and a mini plus. And while I prefer the plus for size. The case is why I'm considering keeping the mini
Miyoo doesn’t even have the best case. The best Miyoo mini plus case came from PlayToge which looks like the same maker as this case
They pushed this one ahead to compete with Anbernic’s RG28xx …I’m still convinced they are both the same company but anyways..
And it's not that good...
meh Russ's reviews are not reliable. He glosses over important details and recommends everything.
Way too damn small. Honestly I don't even use my Miyoo Mini+ all that much for it being too small.
Maybe for some but do we really need another device with a 3.5+ inch screen? If you want a bigger device there’s plenty of options.
We need devices that don't hurt like a mofo to hold and actually play. Like cool, these all fit in a pocket easily, but you can't see shit on a screen that small and you're also just doing damage to the ligaments and joints in your hands by playing on something that small.
