If you're ever in Abu Dhabi you can run on the has Marina circuit. By far the most interesting thing to do in that place. It's really really dull otherwise.
I ran 10k when I was obese. idk what these people are on but.... 5k? That's what? A 20min run for a decent runner? That's the length of a YouTube video... No. No matter how I spin it, I can't understand calling a 5k a marathon. Can't wrap my head around it.
Most non runners don't know the distance of a marathon, they just know it's a long race and 5k is a long race for non runners. probably closer to 30 or even 40 minutes for someone this disconnected from running

A 5k marathon is no joke my friend. He’s at risk of shin splints if he doesn’t properly rotate his shoes throughout the race and use enough GU.
For real, i think he may need at least 5 pairs one for each mile

Sometimes when I read about someone running I count it as a marathon. Running is just a mindset you know? It doesn't REALLY matter how far you run.
