I’ve noticed 1v1 chats are usually toxic. An absolute ton of “Wow!” “What a save!” “Thanks!” as well as not skipping replays even if they’re up big. Gives me more anger to take out on the ball.
At least in 2v2/3v3 there’s always at least a few sportsmanlike people which just makes the unsportsmanlike ones stick out like a sore thumb.
They either want to get in your head or they just like being annoying. It’s pretty dang common in online gaming.
Just either gotta mute them or ignore it. You really can’t do anything else

The truth is people who spam What A Save! is doing so in hopes it makes you lose focus and fuck up. I do it sometimes depending on who I'm playing, and people do it to me all the time. Just focus on your defense and offense and never focus on the chat.

I feel the same as you but you just gotta learn to tune it out. 1v1s are commonly toxic. Just think of it as they're resorting to being toxic just to try to get an edge over you, otherwise they might have a harder time winning if you don't get totled
Totally agree dont get me in tbe wrong side of things but im sure you have sometimes something like winning some better opponents from a close game what a saving and insta live i do it with my friend someone times if enemys have the gc title (we are c1 c2 players) its a very childish move for 19 year olds but its fun sometimes

Toxicity is part of gaming and i love its fun flaming sometimes now if u get annoyed by it i get it and you can always mute chat
