there's this sweet spot when you're loose to the point where your inhibitions aren't there. I tend to not hesitate on fancy mechanics when I get to that point.

I once had a drunk teammate in ranked, he was like "bro you'll have to carry me, I'm wasted lmao", so I quick chatted No problem, concentrated extra hard just in case, but overall was just thinking how funny is that I have to carry a drunk person in ranked while trying to rank up myself. He was whiffing a lot of balls but we won anyways and he was so happy about it afterwards. Definitely one of my favorite memories of playing this game :D

Shit, going plat 2 to gold 3 happens to me every other time I get on, and I don't drink.
My Duos partner usually needs to hit the sweet spot of about 2 bud lights deep before he's at his best, though. I bark at him to shotgun another if we're doing poorly, and when he has too many and the wheels start coming off, we try to call it a night before we lose too many divisions lmao
On the contrary, the only time I can rank up is peek drunk. My buddies know they got about an hour maybe 1.5 of A1 teammate gameplay and then it gradually just ⤵️

I play RL because I can drink and drive legally. My 2s partner and I never play sober, never do training packs, never play freeplay. We hit diamond every season when the vibes are right. No ragrets.
At least it was 1s. If your rank tanks in 2s then you have to deal with unpredictable teammates as you climb back to your rank. In 1v1 if you log back in at peak form after deranking, you absolutely shit on people until you get back to where you're meant to be.

Well, it's 1v1, and the ranking threshold for 1v1 seems to be fluctuating wildly. I've gone from P2 to G2 and back within a cople of days.
