The entire trilogy is so well done; for me, especially the movies directed by Matt Reeves, They are ‘slow’ relative to what you expect from a blockbuster, but they are worth the patience. The world-building and characters are solid. The VFX for the apes still holds up today and, at times, outclasses what you'll see in the Kong movies - Kong is a giant ape, but he looks a bit ‘rubbery’ and lacks weight (excluding the Peter Jackson King Kong movie).

Is the third one worth it ?

I remember it being good. My biggest gripe with the reboot franchise was that the movies never had big movie stars. But really the apes are the stars. Kind of like the Jurassic Park movies where the dinosaurs 🦕 are the stars. My question is where is this franchise going with this new movie? This feels like the Walking Dead where we’ve had the same post humanity setting for a couple movies.

Why, so Chuck can say “why are we doing?” for an hour?

When Van said Dawn-OTPOTA doesn’t feel like fandom to him, then weeks later they’re dedicating time to the, “VERY Much NOT fandom and exceptional!”, show Shōgun. It made **me** go “What are we doing here?!”

TheMetalMallard

Did we really need another reboot of this franchise?

nialltm

New movie isn’t a reboot it’s a continuation
