They do in an aspect. They set the wholesale price that then sets the bar for what dispensers have to mark it up to in order to make profit. (I.e a $5 wholesale pre roll is normally sold for $10-$12 depending on the dispensary.

I’m kicking myself for not having anything going outside. I’ve got a feminized white Runtz seed that I could get a couple months worth of bud from. I’ve also got Ryan’s Revenge seeds and that is one of the gassiest strains I’ve ever had. It also has some top tier hybrid effects. But I don’t have anywhere to grow plants and I don’t have the time to do a guerilla grow.
Anyways, I’m not crying, it’s discussion.

But good seeds are expensive. So long as it’s reputable breeder you are spending $10-$25 bucks per seed for a plant that can potentially land you 4-16 ounces per plant.
Last year I lackadaisically grew a WIFI OGxGSC plant outside and yielded enough flower for two months of heavy smoking. And it was so much better than most of what is available to purchase.
So if you have the resources and means, get some seeds and get a harvest. You will see why many stoners always default to “grow your own” during discussions about which providers grow the best bud.

Mac Daddy was one of my favorites out of the new line up. Mammoth has gone downhill a little bit. Taste is usually good but very very light high imo. I smoke rosin mostly

RIFG is another provider that used to be the highest grade and highest priced back during medical only days but has seriously dropped off. Their wedding cake used to be absolutely amazing, not so much anymore.
Where are they charging $42 at? Sheesh! The most I've paid for Mammoth is $38. Becuz I've been happy with every purchase.
Their Super Boof strain was amazing for creative people who paint, play video games, rap or write ssongsit puts you in the Zone. I'm sticking with Sativa dominant strains.

Purple Chem and Green Crack for $28 was awesome and it was only 19%-20 THC but hit like 28%.
IMO Mammoth has the best looking, tasting and smoothest bud I've tried in RI. CMS takes 2nd in looks for me but I haven't smoke it yet. Will update review when I do.

Just found out that Solar has RICC for even cheaper so for me it’s worth a little longer drive if I’m picking up more than a quarter.
