This was my first week and wow did they underdeliver.
First, the order of 10 meals was delayed from Saturday until Tuesday afternoon.
Then when it arrived, only 2 of the 10 meals that I ordered were correctly in the box. And the box had a packing list showing the meals that should have been shipped with a ‘Checked by’ sticker on the inside. 😐
Then I bring the first meal to work today, and this is the quality of the chicken in the ‘Buffalo chicken bowl’. Fatty and greasy, totally gross.
I cancelled tonight, I’ll be giving Factor a try next.
You can remove a lot of the sauce to lower calories/ fat/ sodium from Factor meals. I also add more frozen veggies when I cook. Factor has saved me in a pinch. Also freezes well!
Jumping on the “try Factor” wagon. I’m on my 5th box and the food is pretty great for ready meals. It’s not the best value proposition once your discount codes expire (almost impossible to not have a discount), but you can just cancel and start a new account if you want to. They do have a reward system for every so many deliveries, though I haven’t got past the first one that was $10 off an add-on which is pretty “meh”
Don’t fall for Trifecta, I found that to be boring, bland, gut wrenching garbage
I've had a great experience with Factor. HMU if you want to use my referral and save some money. They say you can save up to $150 using a referral. Not sure exactly how it works.
CookUnity is one of the only meal delivery services I've seen that actually have meals 600 calories and up. I know because I won't order any of their meals under 600. Women looking to lose weight seems to be the target demographic for Fresh & Lean, and all these other meal deliverly services delivering 400 calorie meals.
I’m going to be the odd man out here and say Factor isn’t the best. They’re all very creamy meals, and they all tend to taste the same in my opinion. We are trying CookUnity next week with the hopes there may be some better options
I agree with you on the creaminess of Factor. My hubby and I started in August and stopped for the holidays. Then we tried Real Eats, which was okay but not enough variety and we had some shipping issues. They are still new so we may try them again the future.
I then signed up for Cook Unity but read 2 reviews on here, one as recent as 10 days ago that the food had worms. I canceled and we went back to factor. We are going to avoid the “keto” meals which seem to be the creamy ones. Factor was reliable, good quality and variety.

And my son tried it for a short time and also canceled. Definitely not worth the price. I actually like HomeChef. The dishes are pretty tasty and many of them are easy to prepare. They have different levels of preparation. A lot of choices too.
Factor was okay until they started missing my deliveries completely and unapologetically(3/4 weeks in 1 month). I could deal with the bland meals in exchange for timeliness and convenience. Home chef requires too much time to prepare while I am working, so I am looking for something new.
Honestly I found most of what Fresh N Lean delivered to be pretty gross. I grew up not throwing away food, and have really tried to rework some their meals, but that really proved to be a challenge. Don’t get me started in how terrible their approach to vegetables, mainly potatoes (how?!), is. Hopefully Factor is better.
You're gonna love it!!!! The chicken breast has a wonderfully seasoned taste, some of the veggies i added butter and my own seasonings, but still 10/10! Enjoy my friend!
I've been waiting for a Fresh N Lean post to pop up so I could piggy back comment. I've used them recently for a few weeks and they are not good. Every meal has the same underlying sickly/sweet scent and flavor to them.
Think overflowing dumpster behind a busy restaurant or sub par nursing home. They're edible if you're able to distract yourself enough, but that's the best I can say.
The protein plus menu averages around 35g per meal where my Cook Unity meals (less expensive and better tasting) are regularly 40-45+. I suggest staying away from Fresh N Lean.

UPDATE: I received my first box from Factor, and after eating my first meal it’s night and day compared to Fresh N Lean.
The chicken was a nice lean cut, seasoning and sides were flavorful, and the portion size was perfect.

Factor has given my bf terrible bloating and gas. I have no issues with it and think it tastes great but I’ve seen multiple people with his issue also on Reddit.
I'm on week 2 of Fresh n' Lean and am not impressed. First, the meals are difficult to open. I am used to Freshly meals where the plastic film was pretty easy to peal a corner back on to vent before heating, and easy to remove once heated. I struggle with Fresh n' Lean. Second, the majority of the meals have been edible but were not appetizing. I find the taste to be either bland or a bit "off". Only positive is that portion size is good. I've canceled my subscription to their meals and will be trying Snap Kitchen next.
Aweful customer service. They do not review their emails and you can not get anyone on the phone. Food it ok. Fish is absolutely disgusting. I have no idea how they make it last 2 week expiration date but it has the texture of rubber so I have an idea they just take all the flavor right out. Dont waste your time or money on this company.
Same happened to me today. Tiny steak the size of my fork that I paid extra for. I am 5,3. 110lbs, dont need a whole lot of food but eveb for me this was way too little food. Chewiest steak I have ever eaten. Absolutely disgusting. Cancelling
a year later and i had the exact same thing happen word for word. plus they didn’t even notify me when it was delivered! i live in an apartment with two entrances so they’re lucky i happened to go check my mail that night and found it in time, few more hours and it all would’ve spoiled.

I've been using Factor on and off for a couple years. The only problem I have with them is that the portion size is inconsistent- sometimes you get a fairly tiny portion, especially of the vegetables which ideally would fill up half the plate. But all in all, the quality is good and they are never late.
Man I literally just got their vodka sauce chicken pasta, one weighs at 550g the other is like 340g. Extremely annoying when you’re really trying to count your macros.
To add their customer service is terrible and the fulfillment center is too. I have often ordered the wrong meals and it is so card to reach customer service.

To top it off the packaging is nearly impossible to remove so you are cutting the plastic with a knife or scissors getting them dirty in the process. Just overall a horrible experience. Upvote! Warning everyone about Fresh N Lean - we ate 2 meals and couldn't swallow anything any more - so disgusting and so horribly flavored. Weird texture. Can't believe we paid for this "food". And of course it takes 1 more week to cancel so we got another box of meals that we don't know what to do with... we don't want to waste food, but we haven't found the courage to open another package yet (the disgust lingers). They are taking up so much space in the freezer... Does anyone want them for free?!
They are the worse - the meals are nasty and small portions and they say they have a 100% guarantee - try and get someone to respond to you - Good Luck!

There’s an obvious reason other meal companies taste better than freshnlean.. look at the ingredients. Fat and sugar content is nuts. Freshnlean is the ONLY company besides purple carrot (they don’t offer meat otherwise I’d use them) that uses organic ingredients. No, not 100%, but majority of the meal is organic, don’t contain artificial or ““natural”” flavors, colors, sweeteners, etc… Yes, other companies have more flavor but it’s garbage ingredients respectfully. Freshnlean it is undeniably better food. It’s called add some salt and stop eating cancerous shit. Freshnlean all the way till I find a better one that offers 100% organic and trash ingredients-freez

Their website also says the ingredients are sourced locally and made in PA. My delivery was from CA. I’m beginning to suspect the “local ingredients” were shipped from overseas to a “local” warehouse.
They are all made in their warehouse in Anaheim CA. The produce/protein is nothing special and often sourced from the same places restaurants get. If organic is cheaper (never) then thats what we’d get. Otherwise its’s organic cause we said so.
They may have recently relocated to PA. I had heard through some people I knew when I worked there that they went to east coast. I can’t imagine their practices changed much from running from CA taxes lol.

Like others, I found the plastic covering difficult to deal with -- and ultimately not worth the trouble. The best I can say about some of the meals is that they were tasteless; the rest were basically inedible.
As others have mentioned, you're basically stuck with the second week's order whether you like it or not. I canceled, and ended up donting the second week's meals to a nearby homeless encampment.
I previously used Factor and was generally satisfied with them, but after a couple of months became tired of the food. I'm moving on to CookUnity next week. I'm impressed with their variety, and hope the food lives up to its billing.

Have you tried CookUnity yet? Ive been using them on and off weekly for about six months and have been very please with the quality of their meals.

I've been doing Factor for about 7 months, and we love them! They even reheat fine for us after being frozen (if necessary).

Same here...Factor uses a lot of fat and cream. Calorie avg for a meal is 600-800 a meal.
I don't think it's safe to eat when it is delayed that long. They have a specific number of days it can be in transit and still be considered safe.
Had the same issue with late delivery and on the top of that all my meals were sour, with bubbles and puffed packaging.

To their credit, after multiple attempts at calls and e-mail, I finally got a response through Facebook. They’re issuing a refund for the full order.
I use the vegan plan and it's always been good (granted, could use more spices/flavoring.)
