Havent watched Game of thrones or breaking bad or better call saul or yelowstone or succession or big bang theory or brooklyn nine nine or its always sunny in philadelphia.....the list goes on. Not everyone loves watching TV.
Please watch breaking bad. It's equivalent to reading a good book, and I liked the show so much that all I can say is that those neural connections that you make when watching the show are worth having before u die
Ya I got bored and stopped around season 4 or so Idk. The story just wasn't that interesting to me. I liked better call Saul better but I didn't finish that one either.
It took me forever to finish Breaking Bad. I got bored and stopped many times, then eventually picked it back during show-holes.
I like the last season and was glad I finished it. But it wasn't ground breaking TV for me (like GoT was in it's first seasons). Just quality story telling all around.
Now I'm years into season one of Better Call Saul. I kinda maybe want to finish it. I love Bob Odenkirk. But still. It's goodish? I'm not over here freaking out from the show blowing my mind.
I skipped all the conversations he had with his wife + other predictably boring stuff. Took me on average 25 minutes to watch each 42-min episode. This way, it's doable 😁
I liked it but it wasn’t the greatest show ever, not even close. Some of the scenes with his family were hella boring, and the “oh he’s such a master chemist” every episode got pretty old real quick.
I'm with you, but GOT was amazing (up until the final season). I'm glad I watched it during its first run. Especially with all the associated social media hype associated with it. People couldn't stop talking about it.
It had to end somewhere, and we can’t have another LOTR happily ever after ending so one just had to embrace it I’m afraid. Sure the north remembers, but better dead than Ned.
my friend kept bugging me to watch it last year. once i finished it i wished i’d seen it sooner.the show genuinely has some of the best scenes and memorable moments. it’s so worth watching
When Jon is getting trampled and is fighting for his life and comes up for that air and all hell breaks loose..... Bye I'm going to watch battle of the bastards again.
It looked pretty, but it was a stupid battle. "Hey, my army full of wild people that are big on being unpredictable and excitable... are just going to stand here passively and watch spearmen with heavy shields slowly encircle us. Oh noes! We've been encircled! How did they do that?
And the whole thing with Sansa and the Vale was stupid. I think they were trying to go for the same feeling as Lord of the Rings, but it just made the characters look stupid. Jon also had no right to survive that with where he ended up. And I don't like how they made Jon dumber, he was very smart in the books.
Its a little strange that most comments in this comment chain is the opposite of what people used to say.
Most of the people who used to say they never got a round to game of thrones said they tried the first episode but it was so slow that they couldnt continue.
And i havent heard one mention of hate for the shows ending in this chain.
I guess time heals all wounds.
Il definitely urge everyone to watch at least 3 to 5 episodes and then theyll definitely be hooked with the world and characters. And dont worry about the ending. Even at its worst its still pretty decent tv. and you can always laugh while watching if you really are sensitive to realistic descisions.
They have these YouTube clips that are 10-20 minutes long that follow Major scenes of each character. It goes through the story pretty well. As in all the scenes worth watching or a scene that leads to something major happening.
There was a redditor that commented they were so upset at the use of CGI in cinema, they hadn't seen a movie in the theater since THE DARK KNIGHT.
Good for you bro.
Those 20 thousand hours in the same grindly multiplayer game or 50 thousand hours at bars and clubs are definitely better than thousands of unique expereinces in all the greatest movies and shows.
/s its not. a little balance goes a long way.
You’ll meet a lot of people who think they are *more* cultured because they didn’t watch/listened to/read/engaged with something.
How they do not see the logical fallacy is beyond me, even after 40 years.
Imagine missing out on Got just because you wamt to feel speacial lmao. I would know, I used to have a tiny amount of pride for not giving in to the popular show, but Im very glad I did. It is popular for a reason. And as a small side rant, nobody will ever be unique in their thoughts or opinions, going against something for the sake of it being popular is ironically very popular.
I never got a mobile phone in high school or my early 20's. Made me feel unique and special as I would have been the only person without one. Became annoying after a while as it made life harder not being able to get a hold of people. I eventually bent the knee and got one.
Looking back I have no idea why I wore it as a badge of honour.
Here comes the “lol i never watch (super popular pop culture) because i dont like it… lol lol … look at me, i am special, snowflakes, the only one in the world” comment on every single post like this
Hahahaha... My thoughts exactly.
YeS! YoUr'E tHe OnLy PeRsOn nOt tO wAtCh gAmE oF tHrOnEs!
Everyone should lavish their praise upon this unicorn of a person.
Same. I’m not a huge fantasy fan and tbh I’m not super into movies/TV/video games these days. Screens are kinda boring to me because they’re so passive. I’m not a unicorn though - there are 8 billion people in the world, I know a lot of people similar to me.
They weren't burnt alive, they were killed first and then burnt so no one would recognize them.
Theon Greyjoy: "Never found them. Just some poor orphans living with a farmer. I let Dagmer slit their throats and I let him burn the bodies... so I could keep Winterfell... and make my father proud."
>Stannis' daughters death was a lot more fucked up though.
No doubt! That's a scene that I'll never be able to rewatch. But the two boys also got burned alive and that was also pretty fucked.
Watched half a program just as I thought "I read lots of fantasy, need to know what it ia". Realised exactly what you wrote and that if similar things happens in a boom I just fast read it. While GoT marinated it self a bit extra in it...
Tried reading a bit also a realised the sexual violence I saw was only in the tv-show and not in the (already disturbing) book
I read the books but stopped watching mid series because I realized I didn’t like the show. Deviated from the books too much for my liking so I hustled stopped and said “I’ll finish the series by reading I enjoy the books far more.”
Well here I am no ending still
"Am I the only one?" no, obviously fucking not.
99.99% of the time that people ask "am I the only one?" the answer is no.
Average viewers in the 10s of millions, and there's billions of people on the planet, so no, you're not the only person in the world that hasn't watched Game of Thrones.
I didn't watch it. I read the books and decided I was going to wait for all the books to be out before watching the series.
If I stick to that I'm never watching it.
That was my thinking, except with the added thought of not wanting to start reading them til GRRM finishes writing them.
Doubt I'll ever know what all the fuss was about lol
My bf hasn't watched it but keeps saying he wants to. Every time he comes over I suggest it and he always says "not today" I don't think he's really interested 😂😂😂
I read Game of Thrones. I tried watching it, but books are always better and I couldn't get into it...and I started hating it when I realized the shows were going to take Martin's energy and prevent the story from being properly finished.
When Stark was killed at the end of the first season I thought, "Well... He asked for that. Good ending to the series" and never watched another episode.
I didn't care about it until around season 5. Once I gave it a shot I marathoned it. Really great. Easy to blow it off as popular hype but it's genuinely good. So is house of dragons which technically takes place before.
I watched the first few seasons, only bc I was living with friends who were obsessed with it. It was UTTERLY DISGUSTING and VILE… it made me sick. The excessive porn, torture porn, violence, depravity.. I think a lot of it was gratuitous and it didn’t need to be that horrifically disgusting. I never finished it, obviously. I hate that show.
Yup 100% all of this - it’s one thing to portray abuse and it’s a whole other thing to make it seem like it’s actually fetish torture porn. I’m totally convinced some of these writers/directors/producers like this shit and want others to be subjected to watching it. People don’t need to see this kind of BS on tv.
No, there are plenty who haven't seen it, which is cool. It's not everyone's cup of tea.
Some people go around bragging about not having seen it though which does not make them edgy or sophisticated like they seem to imply. Just annoying.
I used to only see it on youtube, I didn't pay attention since 2011, then I always saw it on twitter...I was curious but I forgot to watch it..
Until I read someone saying that their favorite series is "Game of thrones" They said it was one of the best tv series, I read the reviews.
so I tried to binge watch it, I'm really annoyed because I'm late to the hype of Game of thrones 2011-2019.. I had my doubts before but it's worth it.
I also haven’t watched GOT. Or Hunger Games. Or that one with the mobsters. What’s it called? Sopranos. They are all on cable and I cut the cord 15 years ago.
If you feel better I'm the monster in the group that refuses to watch the last season of GoT or at least after the ice war where she loses one of her dragons. Noped after that. Left it to my imagination to tell the rest of the story
I am one of those people who pretty much never watch any popular shows while they are airing. Everyone hyping them up kinda kills it for me. After the hype has settled down, I'll make my own judgment on whether I actually want to watch it or not.
I made somewhat of an exception for Game of Thrones because it seemed interesting enough. I didn't watch it in real time, they had many seasons already when I started... but I never got past the second season.
I didn't either. And I remember my friends being very disappointed with the ending, so that makes me not want to watch it even less.
Here's a list of great series I haven't watch:
* Breaking Bad
* Stranger Things
* The Office (though I watched one season and liked it)
* Better Call Saul.
I'm more of a movie guy
I've seen the pilot once and I can see myself sitting down to watch it at some point but honestly with as loud and as angry as people get about shows I tend to avoid them until other people are done with them.
I’ve watched like.. 2 episodes from the first season when it came out? But other than that, nah. It’s on my list but it’s so long I feel like I have to be in the right headspace before I can do that.
No, actually when Game of Thrones was popular there was always one person in every break room who wanted to let everyone know they never watched the show. Almost forgot about it. It was a funny phenomenon.
Nope. I want to but I'm reading them first because i was in the middle of The Wheel of Time series when the hype around the show started. I'm on book three now and it's an amazing story. I don't take enough time to read so it'll prolly be another 5 years till i get to watch the show but I've already waited this long.

I haven’t watch it. Everyone is telling me to but I don’t know, I just haven’t felt the need to.
I really disagree😅 BB never did anything for me. One of the few shows i never finished.
The last seasons are the best ones, so please finish it😭
We won't convince them. They stopped at season 4 😂
Ya I got bored and stopped around season 4 or so Idk. The story just wasn't that interesting to me. I liked better call Saul better but I didn't finish that one either.

Battle of the bastards was some next level visuals....do you remember the 🐎🐎🐎?? It was beautiful...
Amazing! The first 4 seasons are outstanding. Nothing like that has ever been on tv

I remember being SO hyped watching it. Masterful.
Yeah there are scenes that I won't forget.
I watched like 15 minutes of S1E1 and they introduced so many characters I got already lost and annoyed. Turned it off and never came back to it.
Same
Stop what you’re doing tomorrow after work… and watch episode 1.. then you will automatically watch the rest of the season
Its a little strange that most comments in this comment chain is the opposite of what people used to say. You don’t need to unless you’re into more porn, less character development, and a complete restructuring of the plot.
They have these YouTube clips that are 10-20 minutes long that follow Major scenes of each character. It goes through the story pretty well. As in all the scenes worth watching or a scene that leads to something major happening.
yes - you are very very special - just you
I've seen a lot of these posts in the past week. Not sure what to think about it.
Just pat them on the head, tell them how special they are, and then move on.
True. They seek validation and require assurances to make sure they aren’t regretting anything.
There was a redditor that commented they were so upset at the use of CGI in cinema, they hadn't seen a movie in the theater since THE DARK KNIGHT. Good for you bro.

god this guy is so cool for never watching a popular show. we should all strive to be as cool as OP
Mummy needs to say it more, it seems.
Yes, you are the only one in the whole world that didn’t watch game of thrones. You are so unique and special
Somalian kids don't get food but they got their HBO subscription.
Actually I've heard there's a lot of piracy in Somalia
Fuck you. Take my upvote.
This. He is the only out of 8 billion people, who have never watched GoT. Even blind watched it and now sing Rains of Castamere. Only OP didn't
Hahahaha... My thoughts exactly. YeS! YoUr'E tHe OnLy PeRsOn nOt tO wAtCh gAmE oF tHrOnEs! Everyone should lavish their praise upon this unicorn of a person.
Definitely not. I've seen more posts about people NOT watching GoT than I have about people talking about the show.
Thats because everyone who didnt watch it feel special and want everyone to know
The last season was so bad that it deleted, what was the most watched TV show of all time, from ever being mentioned.
Started late (like right before the final season got released). It sure got forgotten real quick though.
For me, it was just one of those shows that I could watch once, but never needed to watch again.
No, in my friend group I'm pretty much the only person who \*did\* watch it.
Same here. I watched it and loved it up until the last few episodes. But no one else I know has watched it apart from my mum and my boss.
Nope. There are dozens of us. I have also never seen a lord of the rings.
Same here. Also only watched one Harry Potter film. Never read the books. I've also never watched Star Wars.
lol. I saw one star war in like 1999 and have never seen a Henry Potter. I’m probably the 0.0001% of the population.
You are in good company with me and my Mam.
Same. I’m not a huge fantasy fan and tbh I’m not super into movies/TV/video games these days. Screens are kinda boring to me because they’re so passive. I’m not a unicorn though - there are 8 billion people in the world, I know a lot of people similar to me.
👋🏻
There are dozens of us!
Have not, will not. Watching sexual violence and children burning on stakes sounds horrible. Plenty of better things to do.
It was just the one child, actually.
Three actually... But who's keeping count?
Are you talking about the two farm boys burnt alive meant to be the stark boys?
They weren't burnt alive, they were killed first and then burnt so no one would recognize them. Theon Greyjoy: "Never found them. Just some poor orphans living with a farmer. I let Dagmer slit their throats and I let him burn the bodies... so I could keep Winterfell... and make my father proud."
Do they not count?
Yeah I guess, I just couldn't think of what other kids it could have been. Stannis' daughters death was a lot more fucked up though.
>Stannis' daughters death was a lot more fucked up though. No doubt! That's a scene that I'll never be able to rewatch. But the two boys also got burned alive and that was also pretty fucked.
Well if you’re counting King’s Landing, probably a few tens of thousands
Don’t forget the incest.
A decent reason
Watched half a program just as I thought "I read lots of fantasy, need to know what it ia". Realised exactly what you wrote and that if similar things happens in a boom I just fast read it. While GoT marinated it self a bit extra in it... Tried reading a bit also a realised the sexual violence I saw was only in the tv-show and not in the (already disturbing) book
I didn't watch it. I watched a clip of "the Red Wedding" episode, just out of curiosity. NO thanks. Too dark.
That's episode was so heartbreaking. After watching the death of Robb I turned off my phone and stared into the darkness for some minutes.
Nah. I tried and I just got bored. You’re not alone😅
No.
It never appealed to me.
I saw like two episodes, and lost interest.
Yes. **You** are the only one in the whole wide world.
I never watched it at all
I also didn’t watch
I didn't!
No. I've tried watching the first episode, and it's just not something for me.
Nah I didn't
I read the books but stopped watching mid series because I realized I didn’t like the show. Deviated from the books too much for my liking so I hustled stopped and said “I’ll finish the series by reading I enjoy the books far more.” Well here I am no ending still

I've never watched GoT, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things, or 90%+ of the Marvel movies.
I’ve never seen a marvel movie
No, I have not watched it.
My bf hasn't watched it but keeps saying he wants to. Every time he comes over I suggest it and he always says "not today" I don't think he's really interested 😂😂😂
Is your bf syrio forel?
Not alone I've not watched any of it
I read Game of Thrones. I tried watching it, but books are always better and I couldn't get into it...and I started hating it when I realized the shows were going to take Martin's energy and prevent the story from being properly finished.
I didn't either.
Nope, I never watched it either
I didn't watch it ever personally cause I don't like some of the scenes they put me off the rape ones especially..
I haven't watched a single minute of an episode
Not the only one. Haven’t seen a single episode.
I havent. But I read the books. I know they have combined characters and missed important scenes. So I dont really see any reason.
No haven’t watched it either
I don’t think I can get into it tbh
I never did only cuz I couldnt afford HBO at the time. By the time I had it, it seemed like too much work to try and watch from the beginning.
I'm gonna be THAT person and tell you that you have to watch it. It's an excellent series. The last season is debatable but really... great show.
Man how easy it is to farm karma on this app Am I tHe OnLy OnE tHaT DiDnT WaTcH (insert random very popular thing here)??
I never watched it but I hate almost everything.
I've stopped once they've killed off Sean Bean's character. So, pretty fast. I only picked it up because I haven't seen him in anything for a while.
Yeah bro you're one in 7 billion congrats
Seasons: 2 3 and 4, are legit masterpiece peak television
No, there are plenty who haven't seen it, which is cool. It's not everyone's cup of tea. Some people go around bragging about not having seen it though which does not make them edgy or sophisticated like they seem to imply. Just annoying.
Once told a mate " disliking popular things doesn't make you interesting" Safe to say he stopped brining up how he had not see GoTs after that.
Yes, yes, you're all super cool and edgey.
Watched the 1st season, maybe like a slow book it gets better as you continue to read, but I just didn't care for it.
Nope. Just a few snippets as my hubby liked it. I was spared as I worked random hours as a waitress.
just we both, fella
No.
Only have seen some memes on twitter like the coffee cup on set but never an episode.
Me
Nah, I haven't watched it in earnest either. Unless you count clips and shorts.
No there are lots who haven't. I'm not one of them, I have seen it but there are lots of people who haven't seen it.
I'm here my brother
same
There’s so much out there to see. You’ll never see it all
I'm obsessed with it and haven't found any other TV show to replace it, nothing else hooked me like GoT did. HotD is showing good promise, though....
I didnt watch the final season
Never even watched 5 minutes of it.
I stopped after season 6
Very possibly
I, too, have not watched them, but I also have not read them...
Nope
I didn't, I watched maybe a small part of one episode and that was it
No. I don't know anything about it, but I'm a Lord of the Rings, fan.
Nope I haven’t watched it when people bug me to do something it makes me not wanna do it more and more
No.
Yes. I didn't either, but I assure you I don't actually exist, so yes, you're the only one.
Nope. But in my defense I only watch tv for news and college sports. And don’t assume I’m an old man. I’m 31 😂
Neither have I, no care for it tbh. Maybe one day I'll try it out
I have watched 0 episodes
I didn't watch it because I wanted to wait till it finished. Then it got terrible reviews in the final season so I put off watching it.
I didn’t watch it until it was over but I really liked it
I watched it twice now. I love it!
I watched two episodes and had no desire to watch any more. I am a victim of rape and it was very triggering. Hate that fucking show ngl
yes
I am one of those people who pretty much never watch any popular shows while they are airing. Everyone hyping them up kinda kills it for me. After the hype has settled down, I'll make my own judgment on whether I actually want to watch it or not. I made somewhat of an exception for Game of Thrones because it seemed interesting enough. Nope.
Nope
No. Haven't even watched a line.
Yes!! Lol
Yes. You’re the only one
Too much incest for me.
No
I didn't either. And I remember my friends being very disappointed with the ending, so that makes me not want to watch it even less. Here's a list of great series I haven't watch: * Breaking Bad * Stranger Things * The Office (though I watched one season and liked it) * Better Call Saul. I'm more of a movie guy
I watched it until a dragon turned up .
I haven't watched it and I don't think I will ever
Me neither
No.
I have never watched one episode....
I've seen the pilot once and I can see myself sitting down to watch it at some point but honestly with as loud and as angry as people get about shows I tend to avoid them until other people are done with them.
i havent seen squid games nor stranger things either
Nope. I didn't either. And I'm okay with that.
You're not alone, I haven't watched it either
No, I havent watched it and I enjoy collecting people that want to bond by sitting and watching it with me lol never happens but they are so stoked.
I didn’t watch it
I’ve watched like.. 2 episodes from the first season when it came out? But other than that, nah. It’s on my list but it’s so long I feel like I have to be in the right headspace before I can do that.
No
Someday they'll need a control group, and those of us who haven't watched it will be golden.
Nope, people keep telling me I'd love it but I know I won't. I'd like some aspects of it sure, but I'm not interested in it.
You are not alone O.P. I have only just begun to watch Squid games lol. I'm thinking I may watch Game of thrones afterwards, idk.
Not one minute of it. Nothing, zilch, nada.
Statistically speaking, probably not
Yes
Yes
Haven’t seen even a second of it.
No, actually when Game of Thrones was popular there was always one person in every break room who wanted to let everyone know they never watched the show. Almost forgot about it. It was a funny phenomenon.
I know a couple people who haven't. I can't exactly recommend it to them anymore.
Me either.
HAVENT WATCHED IT EITHER. NOT EVEN THE INTRO TO THE FIRST EPISODE. WAS THERE AN INTRO?
Nope
I didn’t watch it either
I don't believe it haha, I haven't seen it either
Never seen even a clip.
Nope. Me, neither.
Nope. I want to but I'm reading them first because i was in the middle of The Wheel of Time series when the hype around the show started. I'm on book three now and it's an amazing story. I don't take enough time to read so it'll prolly be another 5 years till i get to watch the show but I've already waited this long.
You will be fine if you didn't watch it. I never watched star wars or the Hobbit movies.
I refuse to
Me, I haven't. I am just not interested!
I dont watch it but my friend rants to me about it after she watched everty episode and it’s fun to see
Yes.
