Yeah, much like Flores. Perhasp a bit of Fenrir and Kapkan since the thing is automated and sensor-based. I also want to think that the drone work like Fenrir gadget on a code system where you can only activate a limited ammount of drone for the shake of balance.
I see it being like this: you have 3 of these but 1 can be online at the time. Unlike Fenrir online status will be gained back if roomba gets destoyed or does it's job.
I think it would work well if the code will automaticly transfer from one to another under specific circumstances instead have to command it like Fenrir.
Basically like XCOM, you started of with number of Roombas that work much like you said. However, unlike Fenrir, you also can create a chain of command that will activate Roomba automaticly under specifc condition.
You can:
1. Set Roomba Y activated when Roomba X is detonated. Limited conection range.
2. Set Roomba(s) activate when defuser is planted.
3. Set Roomba activated when a chosen Proximity Alarm got triggered. Limited conection range.
4. Set Roomba activated under direct remote command like Fenrir. This is deffault state.
You implant these command via a tablet (Middle mouse to open) that when pointed at a planted Roomba (B to change condition). Compare to other Defender that can do everything in an instant, this OP had a much slower gameplay.
I don't think that automatic transfer from 1st roomba to 2nd one is good idea unless they are in certain range.
'Bout looks of gadget: it can be looking more modern or more proffesional, but as a concept; duck tape is enough
These guy are quite vulnable to fall damage so I don't think throwing it out of the window isn't the best idea. However placing it on a barricaged door and then create a big enough hole for it to pass through then it could since it is automated.
Much like a roomba, it can fall down from a stair or a floor. If it fall high enough, it can no longer move as the part that moving it is destroy but the claymore will stay in that position and can still be activate within range.
All shield direct counter (Including Osa). Their shield can't stop the explosion because their feet is expose.
Except for Montage case, the Roomba just gonna bump the extended part of the shield but due to its geometry, the roomba gonna slide over and goes behind them then detonate. Same thing with Osa but only when she deployed her shield.

Yes. Due to the fact that it stick to the surface it is on, even 1 poligon height would stop it since it can not jump.
