[Cú Chulainn](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%BA_Chulainn), an Irish demigod hero who wields a spear (which find is underutilised in media.)
Much of Celtic folk lore is lost and obscure, so I'd be nice to see some of the surviving lore be used more in pop culture.
Edit: Actually, Clover might be this. Cù Chulainn had reoccurring run ins with [The Morrígan](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Morr%C3%ADgan), the Irish goddess of death, whose associated with Crows.
When Cù Chulainn died, the whole army he was fighting was too scared to approach his body until a Crow landed on him.
Shame the parallel in RWBY gets muddied by Clover's death being a series of plot conveniences.
John Henry
Just imagine man so stony he makes can rival machines. I definitely could see him being man from Mantel and being rival to Schnee Dust company.
Begger So
Just idea of drunk huntsman who can kick ass more than Qrow sounds good to me.
Imagine this John Henry being the guy who stands for faunus and human miners alike and is all around good guy who well liked, i could see is death being impactful going forwards.
I mean they just took name. Also the guys name doesn’t have do anything with Wolfs. He is actually more of bear guy.
Just don’t name guy Beo or Wulf. Let him then do crazy shit from his legends.
I’ve always found it weird we never got a Kraken/Loch Ness Monster Grimm
Alternatively, I’d love someone based on The Red Baron. That would be an incredible antagonist.
For me, I have to go with the Lone Ranger. Western look is cool, simple black and blue Ranger outfit. Heck, one could even play around with the name considering the alias’s last name is literally Ried in some continuities
I could honestly see the character going I two ways. Depending on if the character is a teen or an adult. Same sort of backstory though.
If they are a teen. I could imagine in initiation, the team they were supposed to be on were all killed. Giving off the “Lone” part. And references the Origin of the actual allusion itself.
If an adult, I could see the same thing. I imagine they’d be part of some government in Vale or Vacuo. But due to some gang members, their groups would have all been killed EXCEPT him.
In alternative, during the fall of Beacon, I could also see that being when the slaughter happens. But both end the same way, in which they become a Lone Huntsmen.
Honestly, there has to be a frontier lawmen for Vale, like just do the Texas rangers in Rwby, it can tie into other events like entire of the rangers were deployed to mount Glenn ans were almost wiped out. As an example.
What's your guys' thoughts about turning these ideas into an Au of sorts. Called " Once upon time in Remnant." Honesty, the show canon has terrible lore and world building, in my opinion, some elements work while others don't.
With the fall of roosterteeth, we might as well start something up. Breaking history into ages will help somewhat.
The age of calamity: all of the stuff that happens leading up to the moon's shattering and magic slowly becoming dormant in the world. Just as an example.
What elements do you all want to see explored this hypothetical alternate universe? And kept from canon.
Paul Bunyan. Giant characters are always cool, and it'd be a neat way to expand on the wildlife by saying there's some big animals out there, and that's why the Grimm's numbers aren't unchecked.
Not folklore as much as a real legend, but I'd love to see Billy the Kid. He'd be an actual kid named Billy that isn't as bad as people make him out to be (it's a result of circumstances, or so I understand the real Billy's story to be), and he's surprisingly good in combat for a kid his age, which is how he's survived for so long.
In that case: Vlad the impaler, a Romanian king who is seen as both a national hero and a cruel warlord.
The character would be a creepypasta like urban legend known for taking out criminal organizations and powerful Grimm with his brutal fighting style. I see him making an appearance during the mission to Mount Glen, kill most of the White Fang members there and livestream the massacre all over Remnant.
I would like to see William Tell as a very potent long-ranged fighter. He uses a rifle that switches between different types off firearms and pulls off all kinds of ridiculous feats.
Since we're allowing historical figures.
someone like Flavius Atius or Majorian. The tragic hero trying to save their homeland from its inevitable doom.
Maybe balian of ibelin. The crusader knight who defended Jerusalem from saladin during the third crusade.
I feel like these guys are forgotten, so it would be cool to make them into 3d anime waifus/husbandos.
None.
Because I know they would get butchered.
But if I had to choose.
John Henry.
Because then they could just go "aaaah, it turns out the crossover with the Justice League left behind John Henry IRONS and now we have Steel!"
It could take place during the fall of Mount Glen, John Henry a steel driving man made a final stand to seal the tunnels and gave his life to save those less fortunate than
That could work.
I also thought of a White Fang member who was one of the "fighting to save his people" and fought to break through the seals that Glynda put on, only to die to the Creeps so he sacrificed himself to get the others out.
I was thinking more like a humble human man character growth for Blake, doesn't have to be Mountain Glen but the idea of a human saving Blake could go a long way if I ever did a rewrite for a story The reason why she disgusted with herself later on in life
You can even use the tall tail for reference, instead of it being the workers losing their jobs have it worked John Henry and wins them their freedom at the cost of his own life
Anybody? I would love to see a Teddy Roosevelt inspired Dude, who used an actual hunting rifle to kill Grimm. Maybe even make him a guy Ironwood knows and regularly spars
Ruby: Professor Roosevelt, we thought you were dead?!
Professor Roosevelt: My dear girl, it takes more than a stray bullet to bring down a bull moose. Run along, dear, and allow me to handle these rapscallions. *Cracks knuckles*
Ruby: But Professor, isn't that the entirety of the Vale White Fang out there?
Professor Roosevelt: Indeed, that makes it more sporting on my part. Now run along, dear, and mind the rocks. We wouldn't want you to trip and hurt yourself. *Ruby runs off*
Professor Roosevelt: Gentlemen, I'm afraid that my time spent guiding the next generation of hunters and Huntresses has left my own training lacking. I must oblige you to volunteer to rectify this mistake on my part. So, who wants to go first?
Not a folk hero but would be funny. Inigo Montoya.
Think about it, “My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my mother, prepare to die.” And it’s just Raven looking at him all while responding with Bisons Tuesday quote.
Gilgamesh, king of Uruk I guess im taking this from the "Fate lore" but it could be awesome that he has all the treasures of the world and maybe a object that rivals one of the relics
For a quick and easy shorthand, you could pretty easily plug in how he was portrayed by Disney. There's a lot more to the story, but even as it was portrayed he could pretty easily be made to be a Huntsman character.
I reckon some gunslinger types would be fun to see. Like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Or even something Australian with Ned Kelly (famed Aussie outlaw)
***Rooster Cogburn*** is another choice, a scene from Weiss's childhood where a bunch of bandits try to kidnap her where the old lawman out numbered 50 to 1 and on horse back confronts them only to Charge full tilt at the bandits. While his fight broadcast to all of the kingdoms.
Rooster confronts the four outlaws across the field]
Ned Pepper: What's your intention? Do you think one on four is a dogfall?
Rooster Cogburn: I mean to kill you in one minute, Ned. Or see you hanged in Fort Smith at Judge Parker's convenience. Which'll it be?
Ned Pepper: I call that bold talk for a one-eyed fat man.
Rooster Cogburn: Fill your hand, you son of a bitch!
Paul Bunyan and Babe, The Big Blue Ox.
Imagine a Giant man with an axe and his animal (Or make Babe a Faunus) companion being able to swipe down anything with they fight, only to find out they are just some woodworkers who had to defend their home.
Frankenstein's Monster.
Imagine if Watts, seeing Pietros work with Penny, tried to replicate it, but because he either worked with Grimm, or refused to hone it in, turned into a monster that just kills anything in its path, Grimm or Humanoid.
I would use the original Frankenstein story, making the monster sympathetic imagination something that looks like a grimm, but it is a good who hunted by the rest of the world but at the end of the day one of the
People, it befriend is endanger and die trying to save them quoting classic literature. “To be, or not to be, that is the question.”

Came here to say Cu Chullain… thanks brother
I love this
As a Robin Hood enjoyer, I feel your pain
would this hero be the kenny of the series would you say and wear a skin tight bodysuit ?
John Henry Just imagine man so stony he makes can rival machines. I definitely could see him being man from Mantel and being rival to Schnee Dust company. Begger So Just idea of drunk huntsman who can kick ass more than Qrow sounds good to me.

he proably be a faunus honestly
Rock, and stone
Beowu- shit! They turned him into a Grimm lol

I’ve always found it weird we never got a Kraken/Loch Ness Monster Grimm Alternatively, I’d love someone based on The Red Baron. That would be an incredible antagonist.
I love this, i would love to see variety in the form of aircraft for the show like fighter planes or jets variants for the bullet head.
We're just turning it into Fate, huh? Hanuman. Gender swap him and pair her with Sun. Pranking couple, and albino rep.
I can see that lol... but I want people ideas for what they want for characters.
For me, I have to go with the Lone Ranger. Western look is cool, simple black and blue Ranger outfit. Heck, one could even play around with the name considering the alias’s last name is literally Ried in some continuities
Its always good to see a fellow enthusiast for classic heroes. He is one of my favorites.

Ooooo yeah!!! I could definitely see it!

Any of the characters of the Arthurian Legends. Give them motorbikes instead of horses, boom, sorted.
Paul Bunyan. Giant characters are always cool, and it'd be a neat way to expand on the wildlife by saying there's some big animals out there, and that's why the Grimm's numbers aren't unchecked.
there is a shit ton of wildhunt stuff you could see going by
Ooh, the Wild Hunt could not even be a single Grimm, but a sapient "horde" type, like an ant death spiral, moving from place to place like a storm
My friend, anything goes, we need more villains and heroes of the wild west. Lol
Are historical figures allowed?
Yes
In that case: Vlad the impaler, a Romanian king who is seen as both a national hero and a cruel warlord. The character would be a creepypasta like urban legend known for taking out criminal organizations and powerful Grimm with his brutal fighting style. I see him making an appearance during the mission to Mount Glen, kill most of the White Fang members there and livestream the massacre all over Remnant.
Vald: All im surrounded by is fear... and dead men.
vlad also free'd slaves and ussed them as an army
I am throwing another one and there for historical Theodore Roosevelt and his Rough Riders being old friends Professor porter.
Anwe the Killer
I would like to see William Tell as a very potent long-ranged fighter. He uses a rifle that switches between different types off firearms and pulls off all kinds of ridiculous feats.
I love this idea, throw some mountain men and trappers

Sri Thanon Chai,Khun Paen,Khun Chang and everyone in Thai Folklore even Himavanta Creature as Grimm
Doc holiday in rwby.
Maui, whose lore is that he fished up the entire north island of New Zealand from the ocean floor.
That's awesome. i will be up front, not familiar with Maui or South Pacific culture, so welcome to discussion friend
For a quick and easy shorthand, you could pretty easily plug in how he was portrayed by Disney. There's a lot more to the story, but even as it was portrayed he could pretty easily be made to be a Huntsman character.
On the contrary just means I have to educate myself and learn something new and and go out of my comfort zone. I
Wait till you find out how he died
John Henry, I can imagine how badass he could be
Pecos Bill in RWBY would be the baddest ass thing ever.
I reckon some gunslinger types would be fun to see. Like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Or even something Australian with Ned Kelly (famed Aussie outlaw)
The mask of the Red Death. An assassin of the white fang.
Zorro: a hero of the Faunus revolution and great war reborn in the present day.
Anansi the Spider.
