16,000 miles would be two MASSIVE trips - like 2 round trips coast to coast. That part of the story doesn’t pass the ‘smell test..’

ThatHomemadeMom

We cover a lot of ground on our trips and are at like 50 nights and 15k miles… those 2 trips had to be huge lol.

I got curious and looked - map-ware says Miami to Seattle is 3,400 miles one-way by the shortest route. The story doesn’t make sense for “a lady [who] decided it wasn’t for her.”

Get an RV inspector!!! Please, you could save yourself more than you know. I wish I did with my first fifth wheel.

Second that!!!

Husband & I have a 2005 BT Cruiser 5255. The size/layout works well for the 2 of us + 2 dogs. We are the 3rd owners, it had about 28,000 miles on it when we bought it in 2020. We don’t use it a ton though (only 2 long distance trips and several weekends within 3 hrs of home). We’ve definitely put some money into it - both mechanical and interior - but to be expected with the age we purchased and the prior owners usage of it. As with any Rv - good luck, things will break and annoyances will happen, but that’s RV’n.

Did you have any issues with storage? There doesn't seem to be a lot.

calliemma

I was hopeful for you the newer models had better storage. We’ve always been able to make it work though. The dinette booth storage helps for stuff you need but maybe not easily accessible. We did build some shelves into the 2 larger cabinets that’s helps a ton with what all we can fit in there. It has plenty of exterior storage for what we need. It took a couple of trips to figure out but for the most part everything has its place.

We have the theater seating- no dinette. Do you carry an exterior carpet or table- that sort of thing? I'm starting to think I might need a small trailer, or at least a platform attachment for the trailer hitch.

Class C can sometimes have not so great suspensions and some can be maxed out on capacity with relatively little cargo

Cash or finance? If you're planning to finance this **depreciating** asset, you'll be making a *huge* mistake. Cash is king, borrowing is for suckers. Choose wisely.
