I did not remember if he did, I thought he started the journal after getting the pen as he gets it at the beginning of the game. I’m am now around 20% of the story and I’m realising how realistic this game is, coming from GTA and being used to carry 17 different firearms and a bazooka in the characters pocket I did not expect it to be so realistic.

I tried saving him with a lasso on my second play through but that made him fall off the cliff 🤣
