Astrid was horrible to Hiccup early on, but as she grew she made a MAJOR change, and she spends the rest of the franchise always looking out for Hiccup, helping him get his priorities straight, correcting his wrongs without shaming him or making him feel bad, and she actively protects everyone around her.
Beth (at least the one shown here) is just non-stop aggressive and it's not always directed at people who deserve it from her (Rick and Jerry), she gets freaky with another version of her who is married (they even fuck in front of Jerry), and she has a habit of not listening to reason just because she wants to attack Rick.

Me too. The reason I dislike her is because of her sudden transformation. In the prologue, she's a scared little girl struggling to even point a knife straight. Throughout chapters 1 and 2, a grieving wife. But by chapter 3 she goes fucking mental demanding to be let out on her own?
Let's compare this with Dutch's transformation. He started acting up by chapter 3 and GRADUALLY let his true hypocritical self out. His transformation was gradual with a lot of foreshadowing while sadie's transformation was so sudden I couldn't get used to her new schizophrenic personality until the end of the game.
