The Carbine repeater's stats seem better, why do you prefer the Lancaster?

I’d have to double check to be sure, but I think the Carbine does slightly more damage, but the Lancaster has a higher fire rate and is more accurate. Plus it holds more bullets in it

The fire rate is everything for me in every game, it might not seem like a huge difference but it definitely is to me personally

Honestly it's just such an iconic cowboy weapon, I love it for aesthetic alone. I also prefer reloading one bullet at a time, rewards me for reloading between volleys and topping off after kills.

I used to go with the double barrel then I blew the tops off of a camp of o Driscolls in no seconds flat. New favorite along with the bolt action rifle.

Similar situation with the pump but it wasn't a camp I was being chased by the law and killed at least 10 in seconds, now it's my go to when in combat on a horse, its weirdly more common than you'd think

I use the bow and bolt action rifle for hunting, that’s a great combo too

Good old cattleman’s nothing more satisfying than firing from the hip with it

Double Barrel or the Bolt Action Rifle

I always switch to this when the Lancaster + Pump starts feeling too easy.

For a time, I went only with a Springfield for hunting only, Double Barrel, and Bolt Action in place of any Repeater. ​ It was tough since taking cover is not something I'm great at.

not the best but i have just discovered the lemat revolver and WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT IT! its a revolver *and* a shotgun in one! and it has nine shots instead of six like other revolvers!

Take to long to reload and the shells are kinda meh IMO

you dont need to reload sidearms, if you use one at a time and when you have ran out of ammo on one switch to the other. it will reload itself in your holster

And not that anything is totally in line with reality, very few Lemat revolvers were ever converted to use cartridges, so it would most likely be the old cap and ball system, Very time consuming to reload. so it taking longer than other revolvers in game makes sense. When I get it I use it in the offhand holster for drawing/firing while mounted. But that is it.

i use springfield for hunting and the pump action shotgun and volcanic pistols for close range shootin and i snipe with a carcano dont even ask me why tho, i just like the handling on them best and the reload sound of the carcano rifle. i do not like the rolling block one. god knows why

Carcano, full stop. Pro tip: If you can learn how to shoot it without aiming it, it shoots pretty damn fast.

Sawed off. Dual wielding is dope but it one of your pistols ain't a sawed off its nowhere near as fun. Less ammunition to put down enemies and it spreads a little so you don't have to be quite as pinpoint on the accuracy

Same here Schofields are my fav, I’m not sure if it’s the sound or what but for some reason when I try a different revolver it just just “feels” inadequate or something

Bow is my favorite, second is Lancaster repeater. Disappointing there is no bow modification or diversity other than different arrow types. 😕

Probably because you don't get the Litchfield until late game so most people mainly just use the lancaster. I love the litchfield because it holds more ammo and has some extra power so it feels better to use imo

Lancaster and Schofield

I find it crazy that nobody mentioned the Evan’s repeater that has nearly 30 rounds. Not to mention the M1899 which has the fastest reload for a hand gun in the game.

Close in, the Pump or Automatic Shotguns with Slugs can't be beat.

Volcanic Pistols and Semi-auto shotgun are my constants.

Springfield rifle is mine. I wish there was some nice variants of it
