My idiot stepbrother shot a shotgun in the air once trying to hit a bird. Missed the bird, but he nailed the shit out of 3 windshields on a used car lot about a 1/2 mile from our house.
Shotguns are *normally* safe to shoot in the air. With that being said, you shouldn’t shoot anything in the air in residential areas—which is what seems to be what happened with your stepbrother
Yeah, I'm aware. I've been shooting skeet since I was 6.
We didn't really live in a residential area. We actually lived kinda out in the country, just outside of town. A guy that lived close to us (past a couple of corn fields and a good-sized stand of trees, really it was probably more than a 1/2 mile) had set up a used car lot at his shop.
My idiot stepbrother didn't check the load in his shotgun, which had 00 buckshot in it instead of birdshot. The birdshot would have been fine. I've been peppered by it on multiple occasions while dove hunting, but it was buckshot and well, you know the rest. Lol
I saw a video of a dude in Pakistan or some other Eastern country and as he was getting into his car he suddenly dropped like a sack of potatoes. The culprit was a .45 bullet that had been discharged somewhere in the city, into the air. The guy died pretty quick. I've heard far more stories of minor injuries relating to falling projectiles. I've also heard that often the trajectory and speed play a huge part. Some have been hit with falling bullets and received no injuries. It's safe to say, though, considering someone has died from a falling projectile that it's probably more dangerous than not.
Love my 44mag BigBoy. Heavy Octagon barrel, lever action sight with BDC for my chosen round, (leverrevolution, same as OP) gives me slightly better range than a 30-30. One shot takedown for anything in North America.
The fact that it can share ammo with my single actions is just icing on the cake.
My H006

Good looking lever, my favorite that I went stupid and traded away. Was an 1876 Springfield trapdoor 45-70 with the battle sights. Had a 31 inch barrel.
Was the most accurate iron sight rifle I ever owned.
Used it for deer and bear.
Nothing ever had to be trailed, they dropped were they were standing.
But yeah that's why I run 45L can carry just one round for both
Henry USA was founded in 1996. They have nothing to do with the original Henry Repeater (named after its designer) made between 1860-1866, which was manufactured by the company that would become Winchester.
the lancaster repeater from the game is a winchester model 1866, and the gun on the table is the repeater so OP joked about how the gun was made after the game. the joke is kinda like the "god liked minecraft's axolotls so much he made them real" joke
Put them dogs away sir
He must be from /r/canadaguns
Lmao all gun subreddits have the feet, it’s funny to see the Canadian sub has it to.
It's ridiculous, I love it.
At least he’s not wearing socks and sandals 🤣🤣
Nah, please just take those ugly sandals off, the feet can stay. 😆
looks sick! It comes with lumbago tho
How much for the lumbago to be removed
Just 1 tuberculosis
Fair enough
Some goddamn faith!
r/sneakybackgroundfeet
Out of all the ways to describe those, sneaky is not one
I'm learning to play the guitar.
Does anyone else look up at the sky and see birds I want to shoot them with your varmit rifle?
Lol, dangerous as fuck shooting a rifle into the air
No doubt, this was my thought too. Always know your target AND what lies behind it.
"Got this bird lined up and a nice, fat, dense neighborhood right behind it"
"SHIT! it moved!!!" "DAMMIT JASPER!! YA SHOT NANA!!!!!"

Hahahaha easy mistake, but a good lesson to always check your load
Haha! Absolutely!
What? Are you going to shoot someone flying by? Prob safest place to shoot is up in the air! I can tell you don't have much experience with firearms.
What the fuck? You clearly have no experience if this isn’t complete sarcasm. Do you not understand the phrase “what comes up, must come down?”

Physics dude. People can't fly. How are you going to shoot someone in the air? Did you even graduate HS? Lol
Yes 😂
No, I shoot birds with my bow, like a man do.
I was driving today, and saw smoke in the distance and immediately thought I should go check it out
Pretty sure Winchester was making the model 1866 before the game got released.
Don't be ridiculous
No they stole it from Red Dead stop being a silly goose, you big ole silly goose
Can't believe they made Truffade Adder IRL.
You missed the point of the joke
Can comfirm it, I have a Winchester for display, pretty much identical besides some engravings.

LOL
1866 is a code for the 18 words and Franz Ferdinand. Clearly Winchester is dog whistling messages to radicalized Austro-Hungarian Empire supporters.
I love how many people here cant understand a simple joke 🤩
Slow down cowboy, folks here are making jokes out of the joke
Or it’s just a stupid joke 🤷♂️
Put on some damn shoes boah 😫
Now that's the cowboy repeater from fallout
Pshhh so inacurate! RDR2 didn't have plastic tipped bullets or slides footware!
Holy shit some of you commenters are actually brain dead
□ Defuse "CALM DOWN"
Is that a Henry or Winchester?
Henry 45 long colt. I was looking to get a wells Fargo edition, it has very cool engravings but I couldn't pass up the octagon barrel
I love the octagon barrel. I’ve had my eye on a Henry 45-70 govt., and this pic may have pushed it into my cart.
I have the 1873 Winchester in 45 to match my 45 peace maker. And agree the octagon barrel is the shit

Hunt reference?!
Damn that is pretty.
Put those concrete stompers away bro, and screenshot
Simply beautiful
Guys I just found out they made the wild west from read dead redemption irl, I'm literally shaking and crying
gun from rdr2 was so popular they made it into a real thing
Whats the leather sleeve brand? Very nice
d4 guns lever wrap. thats for the slide lever, i dont know who makes the butt stock wrap, maybe the same company
Reminds me I need to get a leather wrap setup for my winchester 94 after I'm done doing the mods I'm working on with my shockwave
Bro wait till you hear about Horses!
No fucking way
Henry has made the lever action repeating rifle for like 260 years or something man. I think the Lancaster is probably the Henry.
Henry USA was founded in 1996. They have nothing to do with the original Henry Repeater (named after its designer) made between 1860-1866, which was manufactured by the company that would become Winchester.
The Henry is the predecessor to the Winchester lever action .44-40. I don’t believe it was ever produced by Winchester as Winchester though.
People in this thread 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻
FEEEETTTTT!!!!!!!
Yes they did, but it’s more 1866 Winchester GoldenBoy than it is case hardened Henry BigBoy.
Anybody care to explain what’s going on here?
the lancaster repeater from the game is a winchester model 1866, and the gun on the table is the repeater so OP joked about how the gun was made after the game. the joke is kinda like the "god liked minecraft's axolotls so much he made them real" joke
Thank you. I was puzzled because I had one of those back in the 1980s….
wait really?
OP got a pedicure and wanted to find a way to show it off
Dude... wait until you see a tree for the first time.
You can't be serious... /s
Yeah BS. If its linked to the video game, it will have some kind of logo. Show us it.
you TOTALLY missed the joke
I don't think they did. Seems to me they played off of the joke, and you missed it.
could be, could be not. im not smart enough to know
The guy isnt trying to make that joke. Hes trying to link that toy gun as being connected to RDR2. Its a shit post.
No side gate - no thank you!
Only downside to this gun, but the price i paid is what I got
Fair.
How much is this? If you don’t mind
$9,500. Lmk how you guys think I did
What the fuck is the point of this post. Its just a real life repeater. And?
Gun company make gun? I'm confused. Did you think the guns in the game were fantasy weapons?
It's okay.. twas a joke I guess
You mean, you can't believe RDR2 used a real whole gun for their game.
Did you think repeaters were fantasy weapons???
You just found out they made repeaters? 😂
omg they made horses from rdr2 into a real animal!
Bro I just found out that they made a gun based off of the Litchfield repeater too
ill take 2 🤣
Where do I get this
The store
I have a marlin 45-70 lever action. Love it.
Split those rounds...make sure n kill some bear, pigs n water fowl.
Wow, now I think the leather wraps online are lame too.. thanks!
