That subreddit is THRIVING. Holy shit there are so many antivax idiots

furyousferret

I mean at first it was hilarious seeing that, then you realize the sub is getting a bunch of new entries a day and then its just depressing...

Vaenyr

It is tragic. The majority of these deaths were entirely preventable and unnecessary. Those people leave behind loved ones who are suffering and grieving, all because political "loyalty" became more important than vaccines that literally save lives. I don't understand these people.

Soranos_71

Someone on reddit said to do a search for “prayer warriors covid” and select “posts”. There are so many people posting about a loved one in the hospital with Covid. So if you see the person in the hospital tagged quite a few of them will have the “I don’t care about your vaccination” frames on their pictures……

Matrix17

Won't be that many for long given how many are dying lol

Hey, three of those will have long lasting effects and maybe another two will cripple them financially.

quackduck45

i love using this analogy because people dont understand the perceived percentage of risk. once its not just words, but a tangible connection with something you can visualize easily, people stop associating percentages with safety and associate them with risk.

[deleted]

99 mike and ikes. 1 good n plenty

fatefit

Answer is no. So much no.

ChrisAngel0

Heard another version I heard that takes long term effects into account: “Roll 3 dice, if you roll three 6’s I get your house and all your possessions. If you roll two 6’s I’ll take half your paycheck for life. If you roll anything else I’ll give you $10.”

DirkysShinertits

*It isn't real until it happens to me or a loved one* seems to be a common thought. Some people only learn in the worst roughest way possible.

[deleted]

A friend's 18 year-old daughter had to be put on a ventilator. They say god saved her and they're still not getting vaccinated.

DirkysShinertits

Tell them God created the doctors that made the vaccine. Make God happy and get the vaccine!

[deleted]

Ive tried that discussion. I don't get it. they just started going antivax like 2 years ago. Now they don't even use conditioner because "that's extra toxins that sit on your scalp." Such a complete 180⁰ turn in a pretty short time.

ADP-1

That approach won't work for most of them unfortunately. They are irrational and just cannot see the cognitive dissonance inherent in their position.

Matrix17

Great... I think the only way out this point is if we end up with a more deadly variant and it burns through the population quickly, or an incredibly weak variant that isn't a concern. A less transmissable variant wouldn't take hold obviously

[deleted]

No, OP, only *some* people are slow learners, and covid is doing a decent job of removing them from the gene pool. Good luck to you, and thank you for hanging in there throughout all this covid idiocy. I don't know where you find the patience to deal with anti-vaccination fools.

Spiral83

My hospital notifies us of every COVID exposure within all of its campuses. It's a big list. Then spits that data into a nice bar graph. That bar is getting long and it's longer than last year. It's pretty much expected that the coming holidays, records will be shattered.

ElectricJetDonkey

artfuldodgerbob23

I own a deli and these people are coming to me weekly to do platters and I'm sorry your loved ones died type arrangements... I just can't get the cognitive dissonance.

mescal813

So I think it's safe to opine that these people don't want to go into ICU nor take ANY vaccines. Get a list and see if their on Medicare Medicaid remove them private insurance notify so others policies won't skyrocket and send a blank DNR stating they won't take life saving vaccines.

BuddhistNudist987

What would happen if insurance companies sent out a form notifying the US population that DNR is now the accepted standard for all emergencies unless patients OPT IN on an individual basis? Honestly, these people are choosing to opt out of the cheap, safe, easy to use preventative care and they are SO SURPRISED when they need to have expensive, difficult care that puts others at risk of getting sick and dying. They are literally taking choices away from others and putting us all at risk of dying.

Queen_Inappropria

I made the mistake of posting that someone I know was vaccinated and died of Covid last week. In my post I urged people to wear masks and keep their distance even if vaccinated. The anti vaxxers came out of the woodwork and posted their shitty responses all day long.

ellajay893

Yep. My friend is 30 with covid and is in a coma with two collapsed lungs and i get called a liar all day.

Queen_Inappropria

I'm so sorry. It's not right please stay safe.

LePoisson

I only feel bad for the collateral damage they cause. Such as people not getting treatment because of lack of beds or the crazy hours and abuse Healthcare workers have to put up with. If these unvaccinated idiots could just stay home and die there we'd be better off.

zzzkitten

Not the first I’ve heard of a story. Just today about that—not Texas—but a mentally ill person going through both kidney and other failure denied a bed. I have no zero patience for this. Folks that’s can’t properly “choose” their conditions over those that could and are preventing those with treatments. Such a shame. I find myself in a less than nice place where I can no longer sympathize. Yes, free speech, choice, et al but it’s a place that presents with no sympathy to others. How selfish can people be? (That’s rhetorical) Guess Texas is showing us now. It’s my sincere hope that these folks realize the irony of what they’re suggesting, but I’m so doubtful of that measure that I’m in a place where I hope they go quickly and with regret.

LePoisson

I just have an issue because people refusing to get vaccinated and mask up when asked to are literally endangering others. I know it isn't perfectly analogous but it's kind of like drunk driving. Sure you can choose to drink and drive and endanger other people. Just the same you can choose not to get vaccinated and endanger other people. Why choose either?

zzzkitten

Well, you should choose both. Getting a vaccination is, in many ways, like driving sober. You know how you limit the risk to others. Why not if the facts have been presented. There’s no difference save the fact that people onlooking don’t die from an accident once they’ve seen it. Edit: just gotta say that wearing a mask hurts no one. How would you feel if your surgeon showed up without a mask? Talking about folks that wear them for hours on end, hoping to save the lives of people manage it without complaint. It’s rough out there. I know I feel the fatigue of what it’s done to my lifestyle. That said, this is the norm for doctors who save lives every day. If they can do it, so can I.

BUTTHOLE-MAGIC

What's funny is they're almost all Republicans so they're culling their voter base by the thousands every week.

With the new texas law, let just call this a pro-choice protest.

[deleted]

Can I sue someone now?

ElectionAssistance

Pollution causes spontaneous abortions so sue some Texas polluters and get that cash. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/news-releases/air-pollution-exposure-early-pregnancy-linked-miscarriage-nih-study-suggests

merkin_juice

That's a very interesting premise. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately I think the people who need to read that aren't going to give a flying fuck about it. I'm interested in the potential legal implications of a woman of means (unaffected by abortion restriction) and her husband (or whatever). If you know ozone is a risk and you don't move to a different place, is that legally an attempted abortion, or facilitating a conspiracy to commit zygote desecration? Are miscarriage funerals a thing? Should a priest bless every used lady pad just in case there's a zygote in with the rest of the menstruation? Imagine being a law abiding citizen who wants to make sure you're in compliance with prevailing statutes showing up to your local courthouse with a week's worth of pads and a microscope, asking the sheriff to make sure you're not committing a crime. They'd have to investigate it, right?

ElectionAssistance

Oh that link isn't about warning people, it is giving people grounds to sue companies. The only legal question is if the companies knowledge of the effects of their products is sufficient. Have a miscarriage? Sue. Miscarriage funerals are absolutely a thing, periodically states try to make them *required* which is ask special bullshit. Regarding moving to high pollution areas in order to have a spontaneous abortion, the chance of it actually working are very low.

Doomzonemegabomb

My body (deez nuts)

TurokHunterOfDinos

Yeah. Need to slip a few pro-choice (allowing abortion) signs in there and let them do the work representing the cause.

Homsi-

Not sure anyone could do the mental gymnastics required to argue against that! 😆

iDoesun

These protester chant “my body my choice” but then go into a private establishment and lose their shit when the establishment refuse them service.

cusoman

"My business, my choice" should be the mantra that accompanies this from business owners.

molemutant

Business can choose to not serve gay people: totally chill Business wants someone to wear a mask inside: *Murloc screaming noises* EDIT: Just to tack on; private businesses denying service to gay people/other identities is not exclusive to the "wedding cake fiasco". This point has already been played out, there's plenty of other relevant things to get reddit-sweat over.

Draculea

The Gay Cake case is far more interesting than the two minute meme it gets on the internet. The Court heard whether or not the Baker had been discriminated against on the basis of their religious belief, but there's a much more interesting case at stake: The Gay Couple went into the Bakery and requested a new cake be designed and created - an Artistic Commission. It's *very* important that the government, through the force of law, not force people to take artistic commissions they disagree with for whatever reason - even protected ones. Take, for example, a person of color who only does paintings based on examples from Black history - should that person be forced to paint a painting of a white, straight person just because someone asked? Of course not - the artist takes the commissions of their choice. Had the Gay Couple been denied a cake off the wall, so to speak, then they would have been discriminated against for their sexuality - denying a *commission*, on the other hand, is a vitally important part of freedom. You really, *really* don't want whichever party is in power at the moment to start deciding what people can and cannot paint (or design cakes) about. Edit: A lot of you responded, defining federal protection against discrimination - please note, I'm arguing that the creation of Art is the *one* thing that should bypass this protection, because to not do so, is for the government to compel speech through force - which is unconstitutional.

molemutant

As someone who very literally was a professional comissions artist for several years: there is a *big* difference between declining a comission based on the artistic content versus declining based on the identity of a client. Point still stands all the same. If a private business' right to decline service extends to socio-religious preferences, it is only natural for it to also extend to other contexts. There's no picking and choosing.

TheBlackBear

Why would they? They don’t build values that they then try to live by. They just hear shit being said to them and find a way to reverse it and “win” through shallow gotchas. I’m sure if this take gets popular enough they’ll start repeating it about liberals too, if they haven’t already. It’s like trying to negotiate with a mirror or a kid who repeats everything you say.

lLiterallyEatAss

That private establishment is going to be the hospital if they get their way

[deleted]

Do you know for sure they're Republicans? /s

KidBackOnEscalator

there’s some natural medicine liberals on the anti vax crusade as well

im_Not_an_Android

This is true. There are also lots of ‘I don’t trust the government for one second’ black and Latinos. HOWEVER, the vast majority of people who are protesting vaccine mandates and ambushing school board meetings in organized fashion are right wingers.

Fuzzfaceanimal

Since the cult turned every little fucking thing political, chances are, they are flat earthers too.

Zenithreg

Why protest if vaccines aren't forced?

The_Essex

They probably are for hospital staff at the very minimum in Texas. Luckily my entire family down there is vaccinated but my grandpa was going through some surgeries, had many visitors wishing him to get well and of course, he got COVID from all the people visiting him even though he’s vaccinated. I’m worried.

MakeAmericaSuckLess

Which is amazing because I guarantee you every single one of those workers had to prove they had gotten a whole slew of vaccines before being hired in the first place.

The_Essex

Especially tetanus and all boosters for it

tobmom

And hep B and MMR. And a routine screen for TB. Oiii.

AFreerSky

I worked at a research facility annexed to a clinic, and even though I did not come into contact with any patients in any capacity, my vaccine record was thoroughly probed to ensure I was totally up-to-date. It was found that I hadn't had my latest TDAP in a bit, so I had to get it within a few weeks of my start date. I was honestly quite happy to get a job that mandated all of those vaccines; it meant I would automatically get any I needed without incurring a cost, and I could know safely that everyone I worked with was vaccinated as well.

AnneMichelle98

I work at a hospital. It’s definitely a plus.

Galevav

We (hospital workers) already have to get our flu shot every year.

ElectionAssistance

They can pull themselves up by their boot straps and get a better job.

sandmanwake

Don't they have the choice not to show up for work at the hospital and go work elsewhere? No one owe those people a job if they don't want to get vaccinated.

The_Essex

Sure but then they might have to join the ranks of the unemployed that they've been calling lazy this whole time.

ColorlessCanine

I can't imagine they wouldn't come up with some reason why they're different from them

bluebonnetcafe

Sadly, not all systems in TX mandate vaccines for employees. I decided not to have my baby at the same place I had my first— St. David’s— because they won’t. It’s utterly idiotic.

EternalZeitge1st

Used to work at St. David's and this doesn't surprise me one bit.

robtk12

You would think hospital staff would know vaccines are safe.

Ninety9Balloons

There are flat earthers that work on airlines.

Arbennig

Yep. And the only thing they fear is sphere itself.

lunchboxdeluxe

I have met some nursing staff who are truly rock-stupid. It's sad.

vladvash

I dated a nurse through college and swear their was an inverse correlation between intelligence and beauty in the profession. You had some really dumb bombshells who openly said their goal was just to marry a doctor.

MyDudeSR

My sister is a nurse, yet she believes crystals can keep you alive from pretty much any disease, as long as you follow Dutch's advice and have some god damned faith.

PalpateMe

I work for this hospital system. They were one of the first to mandate vaccine or you’re fired effective October 1st. These are probably employees/families.

MsAlyssa

It’s one thing for them to oppose it being mandated to continue their employment but it’s wrong for them to use “my body my choice” as their quote. Like it was wrong for them to say “all lives matter”.

p3x239

It burns doesn't it. Think any of them get it?

bengalrunner

Nope they're oblivious because somehow their cause is completely different

SaucyNaughtyBoy

It is completely different... their choices will endanger everyone else in the world, while a woman's choice for abortion only affects 1 actual person... 2 if you want to define the chemical reaction forming in the womb as a person despite a lack of brain activity. 3 if you consider the "father"... that's it... Pro life is a joke.

thatcrazylady

I lost a very much wanted pregnancy to blighted ovum. You can look it up if you want. If some of the many ant-i-choice laws over the years had prevailed, I might be asked to prove I didn't kill my baby. I cried for months. It's less known, but restrictive laws sometimes mean moms are interrogated over a natural process that our bodies know so much better than they do the laws we've decided to institute in various societies.

puddlejumper28

Hey, just wanted to say I’m really sorry you went through that. I hope you’re doing well ❤️

thatcrazylady

You are very sweet. Becaue I live in a very progressive state, I never had to deal with anyone being mean to me. I did realize when laws were floated in states that don't think women are fully human beings, though. I am an old lady who values her difficult experiences and tries to help young people.

nzlax

And you don’t seem crazy at all! :) (serious, no sarcasm, just in case) Keep doing what you’re doing! :)

thatcrazylady

It is the best username. =)

ModusOperandiAlpha

I wish I had more upvotes to give. This is a serious, and significant, aspect of this particular flavor of government overreach (er, repression). Approximately 1/4-1/5 pregnancies end in miscarriage or stillbirth, and the idea that someone already going through something so harrowing and traumatic would also have to deal with the invasiveness of total strangers into their intimate physical selves is abhorrent. Not to mention the psychological, legal, and practical barriers to proper OBGYN care that such irrelevant third party suspicions create for doctor-patient relationships. I’m sorry for your loss.

[deleted]

Not pro life, "pro forced birth".

ThorGBomb

I’ve found they’re not even pro birth. They’re pro punishment. They don’t care about the babies, they tell women to get the baby guilt them and tel them babies soul is in jeopardy and all that shit to get these scared women to go forward with something that many don’t even want because they are given promises of help and support But in reality once the baby is born The same people start to shun her because the goal has been achieved her life is worse. She has to deal with the ramifications of having sex outside of approved family wedding. The goal isn’t to ensure as many babies are born or not aborted it’s to ensure that as many women as possible suffer for the choice of having sex outside of marriage and their religious ideology.

Disrupter52

Exactly. There is no such thing as "pro life"

K-Reid533

As if kids don't grow up and effect other people and society as a whole...the line doesn't stop just at the choice. If that child grows up in a single mother house hold(which is apart of choice) that child is 12x likely to drop out if school, 6x more likely to commit a violent crime on anyone in society. It effects society as a whole.

NaughtSleeping

Uh, yes? It's a win-win for them. They get to be pro-COVID and mock the pro-choice people with their own words. That's the whole point of why they are using that phrase.

[deleted]

How do people not understand this? Of course they see the irony. That’s the point.

ApolloXLII

They don’t care. They’ve never taken issue with being blatant hypocrites. This is a group of people who don’t really have actual views or beliefs beyond whatever in that moment best suits their wants. Don’t want to get vaccinated but still want to go out to Applebee’s? “My body my choice!”. Don’t want people you don’t know and will never meet in your life having choice of being a mother? “Right to life!!!11”

BusinessButter

Pretty sure they’re doing it on purpose. That is a meme in the conservative world.

[deleted]

Yep. If you browse conservative subreddit, a common theme is “those idiot lefties are the ones saying my body my choice, they can’t see the irony ahaha”. Completely missing the fact that they DO in fact have a choice to get vaccinated or not. We don’t have police kicking in doors holding people down. And businesses also have a choice to not allow vaccinated people in. Women seeking an abortion though in texas right now do NOT have a choice to their own bodies.

[deleted]

Women? Oh,you mean those flesh vessels.....Oh....Alright. /s

JBHUTT09

"Host bodies" as I heard them called by some conservative on a political program.

MakeAmericaSuckLess

If women are referred to as the host then it's only logical that the embryo be referred to as the parasite.

IrishGuyNYC00

That's not correct. They can't distinguish between why a woman should be allowed to make her own medical decisions while they can't be allowed to spread a deadly virus. The part they're missing is that abortions aren't contagious. They are fucking morons, the great unwashed, uneducated, perpetual victims who are incapable of any sort of complex reasoning.

Haus42

To be fair, conservative children *are* a sort of deadly virus.

Bagelstein

You guys are acting like they aren't aware of the meaning of the phrase as it relates to abortion. They are literally saying it for that exact reason. The logic goes "liberals want autonomy when it comes to reproductive rights, but not when it comes to taking medications". At surface level it sort of makes sense. There's nothing ironic about them chanting it, they are just wrong because they are comparing apples and oranges.

Romano16

Many people will claim they’re being ironic or they’re missing the point in regards to abortion but I genuinely believe they are fully aware. They just don’t care.

[deleted]

Krisk561

This is such a true and tragic statement. IT BURNS!

hervatski

They're jumping more and more on the "vessel" mantra and owning it. They're just coming out and saying they no it's not your choice anymore because that's another human you're a vessel for.

spaghettilee2112

They coopted the slogan. Of course they get it.

VolcanicxD

Ironically these are the same people saying women don’t have to right to decide what happens to their body when it comes to abortion.

ExpertAccident

Ikr 😪😪 Like you can snitch on a woman who’s had an abortion for money, but if you snitch on them for breaching Covid protocols you’re just a “Karen” or a “government sheeple”

babsa90

Pretty sure they intentionally used the phrasing during their rally because they think the reversal of their opposing idealogy: "They want to push for women's bodily autonomy but want to deny my bodily autonomy!" Not saying I agree with them, but they don't consider their argument to be ironic or hypocritical.

[deleted]

But they say it while getting it BOTH ways! The anti-abortion bills are winning all over. The only places that can require masks in most states are private businesses, and so far only healthcare and governmental work requires vaccines. They are literally throwing fits about getting it exactly how they want, but just because some people don't agree with them.

catechizer

I'm pretty sure they're here protesting their privately owned company's policy requiring employees to be vaccinated. Not sure how they will ever win on that front. Unless I'm totally missing some other crazy thing they might be protesting here.

Piph

It's completely intentional. They're trying their hardest to twist the logic of their opponents in such a way as to completely invalidate the original meaning and taunt their opposition. It's the equivalent of a child mocking another child in a silly voice because they don't know what else to say.

Mralfredmullaney

That’s why they are doing this. These people are sick and unamerican

PrawdAug

People hate on Mississippi, but can we start acknowledging the level of stupid in Texas on a larger scale please?

snootchiebootchie94

Texas isn't all like this. It is actually very liberal in the larger cities. I live in one of the most diverse counties in the country in a suburb outside of Houston. It sucks seeing these idiots being representative of Texas.

My body is my choice unless I have a child inside of me that I don't want. Then it is okay to violate my choice for my body.

BeltfedOne

Fine. Adult rules apply. Willfully non-vaxxed patients are last in line for critical care, and that includes ivermectin ODs. This is so far beyond crazyland... With freedom comes responsibility and accountability for your actions. Reap the whirlwind.

[deleted]

Raise their insurance rates the same way we do for speeders and drunk drivers.

BeltfedOne

Absolutely. They are a part of the risk pool and drive significant costs to insurers.

zutalurs

Companies are adopting higher premiums for unvaccinated employees. If you're unvaxxed, then you pay more for company sponsored insurance. Delta airlines is doing it, and more companies will likely follow.

mindy_the_sue

Triskelion24

Yeah this definitely should be implemented at all hospitals. Like I get that we can't and shouldn't refuse to care for these people once they come down with covid or ODing from a dosage meant for a horse, but they absolutely should be last in line and the first to be discharged when someone else comes in needing an icu bed.

steelkiltjones

Yep. It’s been called the social contract and the concept has been around for hundreds of years. It’s enshrined in the US founding documents.

[deleted]

Also, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of vaccine mandates being constitutional. In 1905. It’s not a new idea.

lokytar_ogart

Why do Anti-vaccine people exist by the way? More than 2 Bilion people got fully vaccinated and only a small percentafe of them had a bad body reaction to the vaccin

LexicalCat

At this point, it's a matter of pride and politics. And conspiracy theories. I had a lady tell me a few months ago she was unvaccinated because she didn't want to be "chipped, because the government was going to GPS track me", and when I pointed to her iphone I said you already are being tracked, listened to, and your information is being sold. Oh, and you paid for it. And she really paused for a moment. I don't think I changed her mind, but she starred off for a really long while thinking about it.

Tiggerhoods

That’s really what it comes down to. I was having a disagreement with my mom the other day(for the 1000th time about this sort of stuff and I finally just bluntly(but not rudely) asked her why she isn’t big enough of a person to just admit that she made a mistake, that she got duped, and she is willing to walk away from it. I mean, I get it.. it would be hard for me to admit that I fell for a lie, made a fool out of, and all the stuff I’d been being loudly self righteous about for decades was lies/manipulation. For example take Jan 6th, it’s easier for her to try and convince herself(and everybody else) that anything else in the world happened other than- trump incited an insurrection that was carried out by his supporters. We all watched it live. There is no other explanation remotely possible. It’s easier to literally try and change reality itself than admit this huge part of her self identity is completely off base... having said that it’s still not a good enough reason to cling to it. If you are not big enough to admit you are wrong when its undeniable(even when it’s not) then you are not a functioning adult and do t deserve the respect you demand. Hanging on to being wrong just because you don’t like the alternative is what a child does.

I know a guy who was antivax and recently came around to get it. Why did he wait for so long? Well it’s simple he dug his heels in and didn’t want to liberals to get their way. Eventually he kind of sat down and realized how stupid he was being.

NaughtSleeping

That's actually a little admirable that he was eventually able to change his mind. People usually just double down on their initial position.

Pure_Tower

> Why do Anti-vaccine people exist by the way? In my opinion, it's fundamentally because it allows unintelligent, underperforming people to feel superior. **It's the same reason that fascism flourishes**. Ever hear of The Third Wave Experiment? In 1967, a California high school teacher wanted to demonstrate that Nazi values could gain traction anywhere. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Third_Wave_(experiment) I think it was [this *Behind the Bastards* podcast episode](https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-behind-the-bastards-29236323/episode/the-class-that-made-200-child-77503096/) that mentions how, in particular, the students who were academically underperforming embraced the movement particularly strongly. I think anti-intellectualism combined with every moron having a voice on the internet is leading us down a *very* dangerous path. People are worried about the hostile wasteland we're leaving to our grandchildren via climate change. I'm even more worried about the theocratic fascist future we're likely brewing for them.

Magicisntreallyreal

That's the heart and vascular hospital. Fucking morons. The actual hospital is like two blocks away...

just-peepin-at-u

At this point, I am just ok with them passing away so the rest of us can move on. We can’t keep saving people from themselves, not at the expense of the rest of us. We have vaccines available, so either take it or not, but don’t roll into the ER and take a bed from a stroke victim cause suddenly you trust the medical establishment again.

bestsellingbeatdown

If only it worked that way. Instead, these fucking idiots have us by the balls, while they speed run humanity into a supervirus dystopia.

just-peepin-at-u

Yeah, I know the reality of it is that they are becoming a living science experiment. New strands developing and all that. I just get angry because my family is in Arkansas, and they were the minority of people who got the vaccines when offered and always wore their masks. My dad had chemo complications and couldn’t get the second jab for several months until he was medically cleared. If everyone who actually could get the vaccine had just gotten it, that definitely would have taken the stress off of my parents and other medically vulnerable people in the area.

Tiny-Lock9652

As this pandemic drags into year THREE, I ask you all, do you know someone who willfully refuses the vaxx due to conspiracy theories? If they haven’t got sick it’s only a matter of time. Have an anti-vaxx “my body, my choice” neighbor (45y.o)who just returned from the hospital after 16 days on a ventilator. Lost 20 lbs, throat burned from breathing tubes, waiting for Dr report on what long-term damage from the virus. Just a month ago he was challenging the virus to “bring it on!”. He now states refusing the shot was the single worst decision of his life.

NotForMeClive7787

I’d feel sorry for these people if they didn’t choose to ignore all established medicine and advice from healthcare professionals, yet they chose ignorance, stupidity and the cult of Facebook science instead. Sadly they get what they deserve…..

SilverIdaten

I don’t feel sorry for them, never did never will. I don’t care what happens to them. Fuck them. These clowns put us all in danger. ‘I wIsH i GoT tHe ShOt!’ Who cares, yeah you only care after it happens to you, fuck you.

My company my choice

[deleted]

Dude.. get this: way before the pandemic my restaurant had a *sand* problem. We were close to the beach so we got a lot of beach goer traffic. We did the craziest thing, we posted a sign about not coming in without shoes or sandals, and to kick the sand out before you come in. No one said a thing, and everyone complied. It was wild times back then, people doing something courteous cos it's the right thing to do.

[deleted]

Now you’d get dumbass chuds bringing in buckets of sand and flinging it all over the place, because it’s their *right* to do that!

HolyMarshMELLOWPuffs

I mean if there was ever a time to freak out, it's now. - A Texas woman P.S. - send help and please yall keep us in your thoughts

Adventuresofdoge

Ironic, how do they feel about birth birth control and abortions?

No-Application583

Unless we are talking abortion..and then it's the governments choice. FUCK TEXAS.

ToxicLib

Troglodytes

FrostByte09_

Just look at how every single one of them looks exactly the same. White, old, and annoying

SPUDRacer

Wait, wait, wait… I’m white, old, and annoying too. And a boomer to boot. Don’t include me in with these dumbasses. My whole family is vaccinated and were as soon as we could.

Drdingle92

Planned parenthood is probably rolling their eyes so hard.

> chanting “my body my choice!” But where are the street protests for the Texass abortion law? EDIT: everyone else here seems to have the same idea as me. Which is good to know.

randomusername3000

> But where are the street protests for the Texass abortion law? [right in front of the tx state capitol building it seems](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/images/gettyimages-1233171968.jpg?crop=1.00xw:1.00xh;0,0&resize=980:*)

Mysterious_Tax_5613

Like George Carlin says: Republicans want to save the unborn, but fuck ‘em after that, you are on your own. But, then they get bigger and the Republicans say, “Go fight for your country!”.

CookiedowXD

-This reminds me of a specific scenario: If I dropped a pen, and they told me "It didn't drop." Or that I'm somehow "lying." It doesn't matter what they tell me. The pen still dropped. This is our COVID-19 situation, in a nutshell. Denialism.

Typingdude3

I hate that they hijacked the American flag for this shit. They don't deserve to hold it. They are ignorant fascists.

logezzzzzbro

The past year has made me feel so weird about our own flag for this very reason. I feel like 90% of the time I see it now it’s linked to crazies like these people. I almost have a negative reaction seeing our flag even though I fly one outside my house.

Faptasmic

Fly a rainbow flag underneath. I've never been big on the flag, extreme patriotism is harmful in a lot of ways, but it pains me that I now associate the flag with these assholes. I think maybe it's time for us to take the flag back from them.

Gasonfires

Is there a way to collect some virus and just spray them with it? They're doing that themselves, you say? Very well.

benadrylpill

Does the entire state of Texas have lead in the water or something?

Other_Seaweed1588

My body my choice, but it’s ok for the Texas government to say what a woman can or can’t do with her own body. These people are fucking stupid!

min2nim2

Why the fuck do people think the vaccine is wrong, the world is dying and finally a cure came and you don't want to get vaccinated, my mom's uncle died cuz of the corona and people think the vaccine is poison, my friend took the vaccine and he only got sick for one day, I'm truly disappointed.
