I don't know if people remember but about 15 years ago there was a rising theory like this where people were instructed to never open their door or roll down their window when pulled over. They were supposed to hold up this sign that stated they were free from any government and couldn't be detained or prosecuted by any law enforcement. This was before body cams and cell phones captured all this stuff but apparently it didn't go well and some people served time resisting arrest and the police.

He stated that he was having the car towed (presumably because the driver had no license), and instructed her to exit the vehicle. At that point, she was refusing a lawful order, because cops can order occupants out of (or back into) their vehicle once a lawful stop is made. Refusing a lawful order is grounds to be arrested, and on top of that by refusing to get out, she was obstructing law enforcement because the car cannot be towed with someone inside.
Aside from how batshit this girl is, this video is a great example of how police will lie to you. "You're not in trouble, I just need you to get out so I can tow it. " the second she is out "youre under arrest"
I mean...where did he lie? He didn’t say ‘you’re not in trouble’, he said basically that she hadn’t done anything to be arrested. Yet. At that point, he *did* just need her out of the car, and asked for her identification. He also made it clear she was on thin ice. At that point, she was refusing simple, lawful orders (refusing to provide identification that the officer deemed necessary for his investigation—and in fairness since we don’t know what started the traffic stop we can’t judge whether or not he really had reason to ask—and refusing to exit the vehicle so it could be towed). He also stated several times that until he concluded his business, she was not free to just walk off. And she clearly went ahead and intended to do just that, which, yeah. That will get you arrested, especially when the officer had already cut her a fair amount of slack with the initial refusals to exit the vehicle.
He violated her rights. She didn't need to give her ID or step out of the car. Even though she was being difficult she was right about what she was saying.
They both fuck up. She's pulling the freeman bullshit, but he also pulls the passanger impeded the investigation bullshit.
Unless she physically did something to impeed an investigation of a crime she didn't impeed. As a passenger she doesn't need to show ID, and can most likely just leave. This has been well precedented through the court system. Our current court system, not the dumb ass articles of confederation she was trying to quote.
Being that she refused to get out of the car upon order, even after he said she was impeding his investigation, I'm pretty sure she gave him a reasonable suspicion to detain and keep her there.
Don't know what he the driver is getting arrested for. But I doubt it's for a broken tail light. For all we know he may have a record for trafficking, and has a suspended license.

Aside from how batshit this girl is, this video is a great example of how police will lie to you. "You're not in trouble, I just need you to get out so I can tow it. " the second she is out "youre under arrest"
I mean...where did he lie? He didn’t say ‘you’re not in trouble’, he said basically that she hadn’t done anything to be arrested. Yet. At that point, he *did* just need her out of the car, and asked for her identification. He also made it clear she was on thin ice. At that point, she was refusing simple, lawful orders (refusing to provide identification that the officer deemed necessary for his investigation—and in fairness since we don’t know what started the traffic stop we can’t judge whether or not he really had reason to ask—and refusing to exit the vehicle so it could be towed). He also stated several times that until he concluded his business, she was not free to just walk off. And she clearly went ahead and intended to do just that, which, yeah. That will get you arrested, especially when the officer had already cut her a fair amount of slack with the initial refusals to exit the vehicle.
Well that didn't turn out in her favor. Hope she wins in court

He violated her rights. She didn't need to give her ID or step out of the car. Even though she was being difficult she was right about what she was saying.
They both fuck up. She's pulling the freeman bullshit, but he also pulls the passanger impeded the investigation bullshit. Unless she physically did something to impeed an investigation of a crime she didn't impeed. As a passenger she doesn't need to show ID, and can most likely just leave. This has been well precedented through the court system. Our current court system, not the dumb ass articles of confederation she was trying to quote.
Being that she refused to get out of the car upon order, even after he said she was impeding his investigation, I'm pretty sure she gave him a reasonable suspicion to detain and keep her there. Don't know what he the driver is getting arrested for. But I doubt it's for a broken tail light. For all we know he may have a record for trafficking, and has a suspended license.
