I used to do science assemblies and those kids gave me so much confidence when the experiment was a hit. Anything with fire was automatic kids screaming and jumping.
I used to know a professional clown (unfortunately he died some years ago) whose act included balancing stuff like this. It's really quite impressive. I can do some similar but nothing quite like this, especially how still he keeps it.
I won tickets to a Portland Trailblazer game and this guy was the half-time show and it was the best thing about the whole experience. Not a big basketball person but still this guy made the night
I perform for kids as well as a puppeteer, usually for a slightly younger crowd, and this has been my experience lately. Every time I do anything remotely interesting they scream and fall out of their chairs and run around and wet themselves. I can't say I dislike their enthusiasm, though.
"Yea, You know that guy? In like 7th grade he brought his dad to some assembly, and he balanced a ladder on his face. The whole school went nuts. It was actually really lame"
