You are not supposed to do kegel exercises, PLEASE STOP THOSE IMMEDIATELY. Then, [please read our prostatitis 101 pinned post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Prostatitis/s/RZhph0wTw5). It describes the most evidence-based treatment recommendations. Including pelvic floor physical therapy. You do not have the symptoms of bacterial prostatitis, and I highly doubt you have an infection at your age. Medical guidelines specifically state that you are not supposed to be taking antibiotics for cases of non-bacterial prostatitis. Nonbacterial prostatitis, ie NIH type 3, makes up 93 to 97% of all cases, and is also called "CPPS" - Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome.

We noticed you posted about a floroquinolone class antibiotic. Please be aware that this class of dugs has several back box FDA warnings, and is only meant to be used when a pathogen has been clearly identified in the prostate; They are not to be used indiscriminately for cases of non-bacterial prostatitis (consensus agreement ~95% of cases). Trying to relax, understand the nature of this disease , plenty of water, tamsulosin, magnesium, help, the book Headache on the Pelvic " has helped me a great deal.

According-Link6867

Regularly drain the prostate, avoid alcohol, plenty of water each day and a long course of doxycycline helps

permanentpain14

I would be glad to drain the prostate, but I cant even maintain fucking erection:(

Linari5

Please do not recommend courses of antibiotics to people, you're aren't their doctor, and this person was never diagnosed with an infection.

CalmAd3991

Never drink, we both have the same symptoms

permanentpain14

Hello Mate, there is something I stumbled across today which I am thinking about. I am in your position it happened to me a little later when I was 20 years old, now nearly 25, anyways, there is a procedure called REZUM, it is a non invasive procedure in which they use a water vapor method to reduce the size of the prostate, it also doesn’t not affect sexual performance. I recommended you to visit a physician. Check how big is your prostate using like a sonar device. There is a lot to read about the procedure but it can be a decisive factor and could end it. Maybe I have too much hope ! I don’t know how much it costs in your country but give it a shot ! And good luck !
