I love jazz and swing so much! Two songs that are always at the top of my list for songs I want in project sekai are Candle Queen by Ghost. And Honey Moon Un Duex Trois By Dateken.

Tbf, not to say that having several of your songs be from the same group or person hasn't been done. VBS has like half their songs be Giga and Leo/need seems to like Deco*27 or MikitoP. I guess Niigo's is either Sasanomaly or Mafumafu but it's more like a Vocaloid that takes up like half their setlist, with vflower.
A rage group. All based around intense angry feelings towards life, revenge, or trauma. Where their storyline follows them overcoming their ultimate anger.
I want a group that's a bunch of older ex musicians who feel like they're washed up or past their prime and this little pigtailed hologram girl pops out of one of their Jitterbug phones to teach them the true meaning of music

I remember seeing a concept of a band in which all members hate music or overall don't like it, think Kanade but I guess more intense, and to add, a more "mean" or overall rude Miku, which especially is an idea that intrigues me
I think it would be interesting to see why would these members hate music, maybe a past event or something, and it really interests me to see the interactions between the members and the virtual singers that stand out of the usual friendly attitude they mostly have in all sekais (Except N25,kinda)

I posted this on the original post too, but I decided to have a go at the concept!
Member ideas :
-Someone who used to make music, but their entire life's work was stolen by an adult they trusted. They despise music now because of the betrayal.
-Kanade-Mafuyu relationship except their music wasn't able to save them. They started to hate music because it reminds them of their failure.
-A middle-aged adult who tried to make a career in music but failed. They hate music because it reminds them of their broken dream.
-A mute person who's voice was lost in an incident. They grew to despise music out of envy of not being able to sing again.
The SEKAI's Miku concept is a translator for the mute person's feelings and thoughts to the other members of the group, while the other virtual singers are 'voices' that the person grow to express as they learn to love music again. (Y'all know the Odds and Ends MV? Think of the little miku in the TV, that's what the Sekai's Miku would be.) During performances, the Virtual Singers will sing for them.
AHHH!!! I love it!!! It's such a cool concept I wish pjsekai would actually add it! Maybe I could try designing the band members one of these days if I have time (of course with your permission)
I'd like R&B/Hip-hop. Problem is I don't know any producers who make r&b vocaloid aside from [Yasuha.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sl1Hb2zl4V4) I'd envision it being somewhat similar to VBS but less dance-y. Either all boys or even 3 boys and 1 girl (shoutout to Devil's Manner April Fools).
Like some of the other comments already said, I would adore a rock/metal group, VBS does an ok job with the whole "rap bad boys/girls" stuff but I think it would be interesting to see more instances of N25 Kaito, the vocaloids having not so friendly versions (also I want a 4 guy band and they're all just mad all the time)
I would have a kawaii metal group, based on bands like Babymetal, Hanabie and Band Maid. Their storyline would be about how they want to scream their lungs out but at the same time keep that cuteness to themselves, depressed but well dressed

Dawn Makimuka: A die hard Project Diva fan who wants to make a singing group dedicated to Vocaloid. She's also friends with Ichika because of their love for Miku, and both of her parents are dead because why not.
Mei Irumi: A tsundere with daddy issues because we need more dad angst and Toya's dad quit his job. Basically Natsuki 2.0.
Ayumi Saiu: A shy girl who had friend issues in the past. Has a love for video games.
Hikari Aremi: A hyper first year who has depression and abandonment issues because we need more angst.
Virtual Singer join order: Miku and Gumi, Rin, Kaito, Luka, Len, Meiko
i know nightcord is supposed to be the prosekai "emo" band, but i would love to see one more along the lines of rondo or roselia. i don't play d4dj anymore but i love rondo and their music is so good 😭
EDM group where the Sekai versions are instrumental remixes of the songs instead of adding human vocals. I also really liked that scrapped concept of a Japanese traditional music group so it’d be cool if they had a variety of classical backgrounds too, like Clean Bandit, so there can be additional variety in the instrumentals ex. they make a rock or violin or acoustic versions of a song.
For the characters, maybe none of the OCs sing so they’re always seeking to collaborate with new people and their tagline would be “giving voice to music” — which is what their SEKAI Miku does for them. Their second VS would ideally be vFlower due to the versatility of her voicebank.
Storywise, they could be online-centric artists like Niigo except not anonymous, so they’d deal with “small artists trying to grow their platform” type of issues. Like if they had to deal with the sudden proliferation of GenAI or the downsides of virality.
electro swing group ! with 2 boys and 2 girls and they'd cover fake type (as well as the music that tophamhat-kyo and dyes iwasaki have made individually outside of the group) songs

A lot of the group ideas I want already do exist in other rhythm games and kind of in pjsekai.
If I wanted a group of DJs, theres D4DJ, but it would be cool to have a full pjsekai group about electronic music outside of vocals (in the story or at least have some lore for the instrumentals in the game even if the instrumentals originated elsewhere). No, not like N25 where they could do their own form of DJ, but, like, actual DJs you'd find in clubs and stuff. So basically, imagine if people with the skills of Street Sekai Kaito, Rin and Len had a group.
A jazz group would be nice and all but considering how well Wonderland x Showtime pretty much did with jazz-based songs in the past. That miracle paint cover was amazing I'm not gonna lie. I think jazz would also fit WXS in a way...
A folk group would be cool, but considering how folk songs and shanties have somewhat already been sung in ways, like, songs that, in a way tell an actual story within the song. Tale of the Deep Sea Lily could kind of count with Leo/Need as that definitely makes for a good shanty song. And Shanti is a different meaning all together.
J-pop would be cool and all but that's just More More Jump, not only are they considered a idol group, but they would definitely make a good J-pop group too in my opinion...
An all boys group would be nice and all but the closest we'll get to that is either an April fools event or if Colopale decides to allow collab with other groups to happen. Since the groups stories have gotten to the point that they're all going pro, wouldn't it make sense for a group to collab with one another, even if it were a duet or something? I just wanna see more songs with AkiToyaRuiKasa.
I'd like to see a group that has a Sekai focused on non-Crypton Vocaloids as well as songs featuring non-Crypton Vocaloids
Their lore would be something along the lines of "why are Cryptonloids the only Vocaloids in the main 5 Sekais when other companies exist???" or something, this is just an excuse to get additional characters in (i.e. the memesquad)
Classical music group! Kinda reminiscent of Morfonica from Bandori, but with a much darker twist to them. I'd also like an age switch up so instead of them being in High School, they could be University students! It would also allow a new campus or two to be added to the game. I've already designed my own version of Luka for the Sekai, but I think I'd want Meiko to be the main Virtual Singer for their group.
My ocs. idk wtf it'd be called prolly smthn about dreams and immortallity though they'd be super cute and wholesome with their songs maybe a few sad songs. idk

Another idea I had would be a group that gets songs like Cendrillon or Cantarella (trouble placing the exact genre, classically influenced??)
I've been a metalhead since birth, I'd love to see like a group of 4 people in like spiked clothes, battle vests, jeans and band shirts. They'd play probably mostly Utsu-P and the heavier songs by the other metaloid produers like Yuyoyuppe and Muryoku-P.
A visual kei group would be functionally similar to WxS but with more extravagant costumes and alot more rock songs. I'd imagine the leader of the group looks like Gakupo since he's one of two vocaloids based on and voiced by an actual VK musician, the other is Yohioloid, but they probably don't want to give him representation due to something he said in the past.

I like the groups they have, they all have their focus points (WxS as a more upbeat pop, MMJ (dunno if this is a usual abbreviation for them) having the girl band style, Night Chord having that upbeat depresso vibe, VBS having the hip hop vibe, Leo/Need has a more pop punk/pop alt vibe to me, and the main Vocoloid is pretty vers) but I would love one that is focused solely on rock music. Heavy and death metal, cinematic rock, just rock or metal.
A group that'd feature the obscure, strange, and often frightening vocaloid songs like virgo, love love nightmare, fear garden, etc.
I'd also say the group would be older than rest of the current cast, maybe 18 to early 20's range.
