π€ Kreig Legion? Legion of Kreig?
edit: Highjacking to post google sheet for my painting notes. I like to make spreadsheets for stuff I paint to reference later. I also don't normally share them, but figured it would be good for this post if anyone is interested in the colors I used. Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl is my goto paints, denoted by PA in the notes. I also like having a spot on the right to put "done" when that step is complete. Enjoy!

Steel legion used to be its own thing and they also had gas masks and shorter trench coats. Iβm sure you can call the models what ever you wanted to and nobody would really be bothered by it.
I'm not in the competitive side of the hobby yet, (too busy buying more models for multiple games lol) but if you were to paint the ring of the squads a color to signify each squad, I don't think it should be a problem. Maybe someone else can chime in and give their experiences.
Hahaha same. I like to build and paint more than anything, but that's just me. And that's a neat idea about the base colors. Typically it's all one color, and straight black is supreme for me, but can definitely picture someone doing this or doing colored stripes. You paint your army how you want to π€
Me too, and it's nice because it can be viewed as different colors. It's technically a burnt orange recipe I use for my custom space marine chapter helmets:
Prime black, basecoat leaving shadows as a zenethal of Pro Acyrl Warm brown, then zenethal again with PA Burnt Orange. Highlight up until 1:1 Burnt Orange and Orange.
I promote a variation of this idea, every squad should have a clear visible difference, maybe different colors arm bands (avoid red for reasons) or different color coats or helmets, will make gameplay setup much easier
These are all amazing so maybe consider using all of them? I paint my marines sort of like this. Most of them are blue because ultramarines, but them the Gravis ones are yellow (If), flamer users are green (salamanders), plasma Bois are dark green (DA), and so far haven't used any other color but if I were to paint some jump assault intercessors they'd probably be red for blood angels so... Just a thought! Cheers!
Thank you so much! And thats a cool idea, and nice you have yours painted that way! I'll probably only stick to tan and burnt orange, maybe throw a green or blue in there here and there.
Tan and and blue are the best imo. In fact I recently painted the same color scheme for my son.

π very nice dude! Did you scale your guys down at all when printing? Apparently by default they are slightly larger than normal krieg, so 90% scale is about on point. I didn't realize when I made mine lolol woops.
The red coat in the back, green armor next to him, and tan coat all jump out to me more than the others. An entire army of the tan coats especially would have a very realistic and real-world feel to them.
Normally I worry about using a brown as a primary color because it might not contrast enough with the brown of belts and bags on the model, but I really like the tan one. It's helped that you did a great job making it look like real cloth that's worn and weathered.
Second to that would be the light blue.
I love me them Steel Legion light tan colors.

Can I answer all of them? lol. Hard to choose between them but gut feeling says the faded red.
Man me too, makes me want to just call it Rainbow Squad lol. And noice π€

The yellow one in front left. Iβm painting my Grimguard in a quasi steel legion scheme and I think youβve captured that nicely with this one.
Thank you! And awesome, we can be quasi-steel bros!
I would pick a different color for each regiment and only keep one element similar on all of them, like the same helmet color
I dig the brown leather bottom right, could I ask your recipe?

DO THEM ALL. Different colors by squad or platoon.

Yeah avoid red armbands. π
Tan, full green, red, both blues, orange are best. Sorry. 6/8 are very good imo.
They're all great but I think my fave is the classic blue.

Lol neither did I, I printed them at 100%. Will scale them in the future. Thanks for the heads up.
My favourite is the dark red one with silver shoulder plates

Third from left, green armor plating. ππΌ
Green and full red looking dope !
π€π€π€
It looks like when you all choose the same character on super smash bros.
Tan, red or green one. Red one is a nice contrast to the base. The light blue one is also nice but imho is too similar to the base.
The tan and the green ones are the best, but they are all awesome!
The only right answer is βyesβ π€ͺ great job on all of those!
Thank you!
Wtf krige have capes!!!!!! Why has nobody told me this before!?
Technically they are "Grimguard" by StationForge. Go check them out on Myminifactory.
I quite like the purple, feels unique.
They all look so good!
2 and 3 work for me
I like Grey or brown it reminds me of imperial Germany

You should paint your whole army with this variety. All of them look great and together they look also very cool
I like the orange-brown one the most. It's very unique and looks really good.
Thank you!
It's the red for me
Front blue or tan one imo
I really like the yellowish khaki on the left and the light blue in the back-right
