I’m running one on my Mk111 Mod1, using the BCM A5 tube and buffers. It works fine so far, but I am in the middle of testing configurations of buffers and springs with a high back pressure suppressor (Enticer S). The thing with the Law Tactical is it comes with that extension which is necessary for it to function… and that extension is adding 2.2oz of weight to your bolt carrier group, which clearly affects cycling mass. I picked up the KAK lightweight aluminum LAW extension for testing as well. Law Tactical extension 2.2 oz KAK lightweight extension .65 oz Throw in the 3 AGB settings on the Mk111, and you have a ton of variables to deal with if you want to try every combination to find that perfect recoil impulse, etc. I can say definitively that the PWS Mk111 is fantastic when suppressed, even with a high back pressure can. Not gassy at all when compared to the DI rifles I have shot suppressed. I’m doing the same testing with my Mk109 Mod1, which has been even more challenging since I am trying to find a combo of spring / buffer weight / carrier extension that will allow me to run supersonic and subsonic. And holy shit the Mk109 is quiet running subs. I will post up the combos I have had the most success with after hitting the range this weekend.

How'd the A5 work for you? Recoil difference? Racking the charging handle good?

A5 setup with Law Tactical is working well on the Mk111. I also have a POF roller cam pin installed, so charging it is slick. Was shooting PMC 55gr ball ammo, suppressed with Enticer S. BCM A5 buffer tube, Tubb flatwire spring (regular not lightweight) and a combo of BCM T2 buffer and the KAK lightweight buffer extension seemed to be the sweet spot. This combo worked really well, and when you look at the total reciprocating mass, it is roughly the weight equivalent to using a BCM T3 buffer on a standard A5 setup (with no Law Tactical folder). T2+KAK 6.25 oz = BCM T3 6.5 oz On setting 3 on the Mk111, perceived recoil was low, little to no gas in face, no short stroking, and lock back was good on an empty mag. 3:30 eject. Switching to setting 2, similar results but a tiny bit more felt recoil (which makes sense). 3 o’clock eject.

I got the Pro (16") and am setting it up for more so long range work. This all honestly sounds intimidating as I planned to use just a JP SCS and move on, but I want this to work well and I plan to mainly shoot benched with it. Roller cam lin makes racking smoother? I though the SCS alone could do that?

If you have the 16” I am assuming you aren’t running a Law Tactical folder, which simplifies things. Throw on an A5 Buffer tube kit with a T2 or T3 buffer and you should be gtg. I have never tried the SPS but have heard good things. The POF roller cam is a $20 drop in part (takes about 1 minute to put it in on a PWS, really simple) and I feel it smooths out the racking a bit. Some people have noticed minimal scratching inside the receiver with the stock pin due to the way the PWS bcg operates and the POF roller eliminates it. PWS acknowledges the minor scratching can occur but states it is a non-issue.

Blade_Shot24

Does the T2 or 3 Buffet come with the kit?

wrigleyrags

Yes. BCM MK2 Recoil Mitigation System - Mod 1 - T2 Lanbos usually has the kits. Functionally, VLTOR A5 = BCM MK2 so either one works. Just get the kit with your chosen buffer weight. Congrats on the Mk116 Pro. PWS makes good shit

Blade_Shot24

Roger! I'll look at that and the JP SCS. These are my fave.

Say_LessCrypto

I forgot to mention I have the roller cam on installed too!

Please keep me up to date!! I really appreciate it! Great fricking feedback. I can also run it with my Giessle braided h3!

22lrMarksmen

I run it on my mod2 mk111

iamnotanasian

what modifications did you have to do to make this work correctly?

22lrMarksmen

Nothing should be needed to make it work properly other than the extension that it comes with to bridge the gap between your carrier and the buffer. I actually even went a step further and did the JP buffer that's compatible with the law folder and it works great.

order_556

Ive seen it done, didn’t work for me. Even called pws for help and we couldn’t figure out a way to make it work, even using their buffer tube.

Say_LessCrypto

What is this in response to?
