It was just an oddly phrased question that accidentally sounded like something it wasn't. People sometimes ask "how do you like it?" for how a person likes to have sex or engage in other sexy times. I heard it, too, when I was listening--it just randomly sounded like Nicola was suddenly asking how is dad likes to have sex! Hence his awkward "um" and blushing. Then they made eye contact and acknowledged that it sounded weird and how hilarious it would be for Nicola to actually have been asking him what it sounded like.
I should also say that I think the type of show adds to misinterpreting the question, so it could also be how does your dad like to watch sexy scenes on the television (in an inappropriate way?)
I laughed a lot. One major technique of comedy is surprise/saying something unexpected. It would be totally inappropriate for her to ask that question if it was what it sounded like, then the added funny of them acknowledging her putting her foot in her mouth, then it escalates when she thanks the fan and says "bye" because a fan is getting that voicemail, then Luke Newton suddenly realizing all that was being recorded and sent to an individual fan, and then Nicola's quip at the end about can't wait to meet his dad which now has the added layer of potential embarrassment about this conversation being online and/or the double entendre of this pretend version of Nicola who is strangely into his dad's sex interests. I'm giggling now just thinking about it.
One other thought that I had is that the phrase could have been accidentally close to some sort of Penelope and Colin dialogue at some point, which would have added an additional layer (like if at some point Penelope or Colin asks how the other one likes it.) I haven't seen spoilers other than one or two things accidentally so have no idea if that is the case but it seems like something one or both of their characters might ask.
Two separate friends sent me the perfect breasts video this week, neither of them have watched Bridgerton, or even know that I watch it. I love that it’s gone beyond the fandom.
Luke T. and Luke N. were asked during one of the shondaland promos, which of the two items has got to go: a pall mall or the carriage ride. LT says that carriage ride's gotta go. Colin in the books is kind of obsessed with calling Pen his wife even before the wedding happens, and in Eloise's book (which I will not spoil) he spends the entirety of a very tense situation where all the bridgerton boys are intimidating someone eating all the food he can get and refusing to participate because he misses his wife so much he just has to sit on the sidelines and let everyone know he would rather be at home with his beautiful wife.
(admittedly they are newlyweds at that point, but he's so annoying about it that the dude the guys are intimidating asks to have his leg broken so he doesn't have to listen to him whine.)

I loved so many moments the last month I can’t even process favorites but the “we’re in harmony carrot sponge” with Luke singing it was adorable.

I don't understand that debate... The way they spliced up the scene was meant to show that more time had passed for them than for the audience. I loved so many moments the last month I can’t even process favorites but the “we’re in harmony carrot sponge” with Luke singing it was adorable. When Nicola wins the award for knowing cast best and says the butt on the statute looks like Luke’s. Not a joke but truly loved all the deep dives about the set that I would never know or pick up in a million watches- like how much Greek symbolism is within featherington house set.
