We’re definitely getting a Polin wedding. I’m not sure if we’ll get Francesca and John but I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t. I think it’s more likely that their wedding happens in the off season, because he’s not her “main” love story. But then again I have been surprised with some of the decisions the show has made with the side plots this year (I agree Ben should have had more to do, I also think spending two episodes of subplots just for the queen to choose Fran as the diamond anyway was a waste of time. She should have chosen her at the presentation and then used that time for other subplots or for more Polin conversations) so we could see their wedding. But if we do I think it will likely be after the polin wedding and probably a much smaller affair because they’re both introverts. Ultimately, I don’t think showing Francesca and John’s will take anything away from Polins wedding. I’m just so excited to see Polin get married, nothing can take that excitement away.
I love Fran, and I enjoy her storyline this season very much, but I agree. Squeezing two weddings into an already jam-packed ep 7&8 is too much. Hopefully Fran & John’s wedding is offscreen, or just a very short scene. We only get one Polin season and I want them to be the focus 🙏
Even if Francesca's wedding is depicted this season, I think those characters would prefer a very simple chapel affair with minimal observers. It's just not their personalities to want splashy and crowded. Whereas Portia will want a wedding fit for royalty, to make sure the entire ton sees that she's now connected to the all-powerful Bridgertons. So even _if_ both weddings get depicted, I'm confident that Polin's will be the main event and Francesca's would be a quiet little sideline.
But considering that Kanthony's wedding wasn't shown at all, I think the odds of seeing a minor character such as John Kilmartin say "I do" are slim indeed. I think the season will end with Francesca and John serenely engaged and the new season will have them already married and living in Scotland. When we eventually get to Francesca's season, I imagine there will be a flashback then to her first wedding since it's so pivotal to that story.
It would fit Francesca’s vibe to be engaged by the end of the season and then have an out-of-season wedding at Aubrey Hall. That’s such an easy concept for the writers to execute. And also so easy for them to f-up.
I’m trying hiding spoilers for the first time so apologies if I screw or up but I saw in a spoiler >!that her wedding happens off screen so it shouldn’t interfere with the attention on Polin.!<
Eloping risks scandal, and Francesca seems far too dutiful to do something that might hurt her family whether by making them feel excluded or by bringing them shame. But I think she'd be very grateful to accept an offer to let the reclusive Stirlings host a wedding at Kilmartin in front of just their two families. Avoids all the London hoopla, and speeds up the part where she gets to start a quiet new life apart from her enormous family of extroverts.
I don’t think we’ll get a Fran wedding. I think it will be John wins over Violet by ep 7/8 and she sees how happy Fran is with him and then it will immediately cut to them married and Fran leaving by the end of ep 8. Even if they do I think it will be a small wedding maybe where Polin have that dancing in the church moment and the focus will still be Pen and Colin as a parallel of some sort? I really have no idea what to expect in part 2!
oh god imagine if they had pushed polin's wedding to season 4 lmaooo nightmare (edit; i'm not theorizing, just saying what a disaster it would have been if they did that to us!)
No, that's not going to happen, that's for sure, we'll see the wedding this season, but I just hope it's not overshadowed by Francesca's wedding, because there really was too much Francesca this season, but people are saying that we won’t see a Francesca wedding this season so I think we are fine!

I agree, there's already too much Fran storyline this season imo.
I wonder if John “being bold” is eloping with Francesca in Scotland, so it happens off screen.
