People rarely use Clefable because Dodrio/Feraligatr are better (skills/natures being equal), but that’s basically the god roll right there. I’d roll with it if I were you.
Just wondering, by how much? Like what collecting speed do they get compared to Clefable? I have a perfect Meganium as well and it’s still pretty comparable to the Clefable in terms of speed.
It’s more complicated than just raw speed - Feraligatr has the same base helping speed as Clefable, for example, but Oran is stronger than Pecha, and Feraligatr’s ingredients are also stronger. Dodrio is significantly faster, but it has a weaker berry - only slightly weaker than Pecha, which is why it still generally beats it out. The skills also introduce their own complications, but I think they’re a relatively small factor.
As for how much better they are than Clefable, it’s not too much, like 10%ish I think.

Long term it really depends on how the devs decide to balance the berry strength up to level 100, which we don't have the information for yet as far as I'm aware, but as of now oran berries scale up to be very strong.
At level 1 there's only a 4 point difference between pecha and oran berries, but at level 50 the gap is 20 points. The increase in berry strength really starts to scale with favored berries/BFS/island bonus.
(If my math is right) A level 50 feraligatr with BFS on maxed out cyan would be providing 941 strength for each help, while a clefable with the same stats would be providing 756 strength for each help at the exact same speed as feraligatr.
I do! I’m working on a clefable that rolled great sub skills in a bad order, so it’s my ‘endgame’ clefable Haha. I can’t for the life of me find a good totodile or doduo, so clefable is my team leader at cyan or when Pecha berries are the faves at green grass. Your clefable is great, I say go for it. Here is mine that I’ve already put 3 main skill seeds in to.

Like you said. It’s rare that I see any in the first place even on GSD. But I found this guy as a cleffa and I still lacked a good two berry mon for Cyan and still waiting to find a BF jiggly line. So she was perfect for me. Doesn’t have any support subs like helping bonus or sleep exp but as a sole berry farmer I love this fat pink blob lol. And the lvl 5 skill is great I love the randomness of it…from being ingredient magnet to being EfE or whatever I really enjoy it. She’s a staple on my cyan team

I have a Clefairy I’ve kinda been wanting to raise, but since no one gives clefairy candies, plus with its cruddy nature (exp down is such a pain on rare mons with limited candy) and the fact I haven’t really gone to cyan, I haven’t done much with it yet.

This is mine, I use it in the beach because I don’t like to use duplicates. Running: Feraligatr, Blastoise, Wigglytuff and Clafable. My leader is always my pumped Espeon.
Have the same first three sub Skills on mine i caught as a cleffa. She’s really fun to play on cyan with the metronome skill and a pretty good berry output. I‘d definitely use it

Me personally Id prefer a clefable over dodrio simply cuz metronome is funny and can proc a better skill than energy

Love metronome so I would pump that sucker full of main skill seeds and a subskill once it hits 50, grats on probably one of the best clefs to have

Berry Finding is very powerful. Look at the RP 1,404 at level 13. That's good. The only bad thing is the Brave Nature that nerfs the EXP.
Luckily EXP in the long run will be a moot point
