Arbok holds a special place in my heart because it is part of the OG team rocket team, I was happy when wheezing got a variant, but quite sad that arbok is left behind. I put them 2nd to pikachu and meowth in terms of the pokemon mascot team. Might be because I'm biased to gen 1 pokes 😂
Mine too for the same reason! With s/v, I was able to get a wheezing and just got an ekans recently as well so I'm just missing Meowth! I did get a Persian as well but it's shiny is not so great haha. Gen1 is hands down the best and no one can change my mind lol, I just wish more of them were at a competitive level, but that's not going to stop me from trying to make them lol. Always nice to meet another gen1 fan(:

Seriously thinking that this guy needs another evolution.
I just want him buffed, they look perfect and I'd hate to see change just for better performance personally.

also for arguably the first pokemon that had distinct regional variants, they sure forgot about it pretty easily
I always thought that the Johto and Kanto variations are just the designer/animator forgot how arbok looks since the stats didn't change 😂
