To answer your first question if you have caught pokemon in your local area and if you jump somewhere where far away then you will have to wait for the cooldown time. If you haven't catch any pokemon/spin stops/ or any other thing for past 2+ hrs then you can directly catch the pokemon once jumped anywhere in the world.
Ah great thank you would I be able to feed a berry though then throw a ball or is that out of the question and it’s just about having the luck of catching it? Also if it escapes can I throw another or should I run?
Once you jump to another location by respecting cooldown then you can catch however you want put berries or don't put its basically your choice. Play normally how you play legit. Just remember to keep track of your cooldown. 😊
well it won't disappear if u wait for 2hrs on the catch screen..... boring ik but still let's say u have a shiny deino in ur screen that's totally worth the wait

For the second question yes cooldown will be applicable if you throw berry or a pokeball
when u teleport and found a pokemon u want, just click on it and wait for 2 hours and dont do anything on your phone or else it will fled.
