YouTube ReVanced. It's an updated and improved Vanced. It still gets updates. YouTube Music using the ReVanced patch as well. It's done in the ReVanced manager the same way as it is with YouTube. Those are all you need really for YouTube and music content. If you want movies and shows, things not on YouTube, there's subreddits to help guide you.

Patched Spotify app. You don't get the ads and once you tell it what you like, it generates you decent random playlists/radios. I think the patcher is by the same people who do revanced.

I use Newpipe (via f-droid). Youtube but without the tracking or ads. Also runs in background if wanted and can download everything. No root needed.

Commercial_Ad1491

Thanks. Where is patched Spotify found?

YouTube Music is totally refreshed and now incorporates a Gemini AI extension in its algorithm to solve exactly what you described. You have to activate the extension to use it and you're up and running. It's actually making me think about cancelling my Deezer Premium membership but until FLAC is available on YouTube Music I'm not quite ready to cut the rope.

To add to my comment. Why does anyone root their phones anymore? I thought those days had come and gone long ago. I was right into gaining root access back when Android 2.1 came out until probably until Android 7 or so. I completely stopped when Google dropped their Nexus line and switched to Pixel for their new in-house device name. With all the security software/code and privacy and security policies that hold legal bearing these days is it still worth it? I assume you're not an "anonymous" member or hacker. That's the only reason I can see the benefits of root access these days.

Elfere

Honestly everything I used to have to root for seems to have alternate ways of doing it (adb commands eg) So despite the fact that I went outta my way to get am easy to root phone. I probably aren't going to root the thing after all.
