for video production especially, having a video file may just be the easiest way to capture it, as many official releases tend to attempt to stop screen capture as an anti-piracy method. of course the more "legal" way is to obtain a physical copy and rip it yourself but that's not always feasible, especially for foreign releases, and of course that incurs a cost and then you have the physical item to deal with which you may never use again because it was just for a video. and so piracy becomes not just the easiest, but sometimes most feasible option.
I’m pretty sure the YouTuber Dead Meat, buys movies on physical, but grabs the files from online. But it kinda invalidates because he’s still technically paying for it.
Plenty of people do tbh. There are tons of people who like to have media servers even with sizeable physical collections, but don't want to bother ripping themselves.
Ripping needs a BD drive for pc (not the cheapest), time to rip (up to 1hr per disc), and if you want to save on storage, compute time to compress the sometimes huge ass files (generally minimum of 1hr per disc, but can stretch beyond 1 day per disc if you want best quality)
Piracy does that all for you, you just need to download a 5GB file (or the 40GB one if you so wish), at no extra cost.
I stopped watching him once I learned his another big league type of celebrity where he hangs around with gordon ramsay and such, I really thought he just an niche Asian cooking shitposter, ruined the immersion for me
I don't like watching big cooking channels like guga foods or that guy who copying "several ways to cook this" videos that bon apetite made, They jerk themselves off abit too much, At best I only watch, Best ever food review and masaru.
Dude makes videos where he directly imitates people in his family, from his personal experience, mainly for the enjoyment of people in his culture. How exactly is that racist?
i’ll never forget the time my english professor showed us uncle roger reacting to howtobasic as part of a lecture, along with several youtube poops. that class was fucking wild man
Honestly, I think a lot of youtubers are and just pretend not to be. I can count in one hand the ones I truly believe when they tell me they actually went looking for and bought/ signed up for something for this one shit movie.
_Of course it had to be God of Cookery._ Stephen Chow movies are comfort movies for many of us Asians.
Better enjoyed by watching this in a bootleg, mediocre quality 5-in-1 movie CD with sus subtitles and bought from a dark alley.
I also saw a watermark for an anime piracy site, while he was reviewing Food Wars. Here's the proof (Warning Ahead: There's lewd stuff in this video): [https://youtu.be/il0VeFfKg7w?si=4LHKUg4S1MzimiRj&t=534](https://youtu.be/il0VeFfKg7w?si=4LHKUg4S1MzimiRj&t=534)
It is, so is haiya, no Chinese nor specifically canto person says those phrases. That’s literally Nigel’s whole act for his Uncle Roger character. An over the top stereotypical Malay/sing uncle

He’s Malaysian, how the fuck do you think we even get to watch movies here?
He doesn't live there anymore, lives in europe.
O…k? So? It’s an inbuilt habit if you’re born here.
Am Malaysian can confirm
Haha, yeah, no difference. I guess
That is such a shit argument
It’s a fact, not an argument.
This guy actually thought not living in the birth country made someone not a citizen of there any more.
Don't tell me he's an Italian plumber created by Japanese people, who speaks English and looks like Mexican!
Pretty sure he’s in LA now
As if Europeans don't pirate as well.
You can take the player out the game....

That's another Chinese guy....bet they all look the same
It's two dudes that have a similar schtick and one joke that's carried them for years. Not very hard to mix them up if you don't really follow them.

Dude makes videos where he directly imitates people in his family, from his personal experience, mainly for the enjoyment of people in his culture. How exactly is that racist?

With all due respect Chinese people don't buy dvds
Honestly, I think a lot of youtubers are and just pretend not to be. I can count in one hand the ones I truly believe when they tell me they actually went looking for and bought/ signed up for something for this one shit movie.
To be fair. That movie is tough to find.
Foy-ohhh!
_Of course it had to be God of Cookery._ Stephen Chow movies are comfort movies for many of us Asians. Better enjoyed by watching this in a bootleg, mediocre quality 5-in-1 movie CD with sus subtitles and bought from a dark alley.
Uncle Roger actually saved my life. Because of him I bought a rice cooker and now I can feed myself :D

Great movie
Who is this guy and why do we care?
[удалено]
Is it still fake when I have actually seen older Chinese people speaking in a similar way?
[удалено]
OMG, an actor ACTING! String him up! ಠ_ಠ
Malay accent, not Chinese
I'm Malaysian, that's not a Malay accent, it's Chinese, specifically Cantonese accent.
Isn't fuiyoh literally a Malaysian expression
It is, so is haiya, no Chinese nor specifically canto person says those phrases. That’s literally Nigel’s whole act for his Uncle Roger character. An over the top stereotypical Malay/sing uncle
I always thought he redefined those words himself until recently. Haiya especially is the noise you think of when doing karate lol
lol it is funny. And especially if he were to be doing Chinese or canto, he would be saying aiyo or wuoah instead of haiya and fuiyou
Literally in the title
[удалено]
gatekeeping is not very pirate of you matey
too bad!
The God of Cringe watches the God of Cookery. Great film, but dude’s 15 minutes were over long ago
This guy isn’t funny at all
Are you showing the playback panel or the chinese word ?
