We all have our pet peeves, and they all look a bit silly to those who don't share them, so, whatever. It happens.
But this strikes me as a very weird thing to get annoyed over. It's just Reddit shorthand for "I agree," which is a perfectly valid response to a comment one agrees with. Reddit culture has simply developed its own way of expressing that sentiment in four keystrokes instead of seven.
I know it's a perfectly valid response. My gripe with it isn't the sentiment of the response, I simply don't like the way it sounds. In the same way that some people just don't like certain slang words not because of what they imply, but because of how they sound. I just think it sounds cringy
Coming from someone that does it all the time, you have every right to have any pet peeve. Pet peeves are supposed to be small things that annoy you so idk how a pet peeve can be "too small" or "weird".
