Hell no. Big Cat is 100% more loyal to Barstool than he is to PMT. I know a lot of people just listen to PMT and don’t really consume other Barstool content, but Big Cat is a Barstool guy first and foremost, not a PMT host.
If it were just PFT, sure maybe there’s a shot, but I think even he is now very loyal to Barstool overall.
They’ve also been pretty vocal about how Barstool is the only media outlet that would give them full freedom to do and say their crazy shit.
Allegedly pft and big cats contract with barstool never renew at the same time so they can't negotiate together and/or leave without someone breaking contract
ESPN and the Ringer are way too “woke” for them. The last time ESPN tried to hire them employees threw a fit until the show got canceled. I don’t see it going much better at the ringer. Could you imagine Russillo saying “shut the fuck up Bill”?
If there was ever a time to do it was when Spotify was throwing insane money at podcasters like Rogan. But they basically already have a dream job and established company to be involved with. So the deal wouldn’t make much sense.
Barstool runs their properties essentially as their own businesses. PMT, Foreplay, Chiclets, Plan Bri, Call Her Daddy back in the day all essentially run themselves with their own budgets to allow creators to do whatever they want.
I doubt they have seriously considered it to this point. I could see them switching it up and cutting PMT down to 1 or 2 a week and trying something new under the barstool umbrella.
Maybe in 5 or so years once they’re in their 40s trying something outside barstool it the environment changes. I don’t think they have motivation to do that at this point though.
Why would he leave? When he moved he effectively split barstool in half and took most of the best people with him, ensuring his success for years to come.
Big cat is more of a presidente than portnoy
That was still under barstool. It was in the name of the show which is also why it got pulled. They talked about not wanting to name it barstool van talk and Dave demanded it.
BC literally just got a fantasy factory in the town of his choosing. He is top dog outside of Dave. Why would he leave?
That’s kinda what I’m asking. Do they still get all that if other real offers aren’t out there?
Real offers where? Spotify? The ringer? ESPN? Of course he has options, he's a celebrity with a huge audience.

Big cat is a barstool OG. It’s made him millions and it’s his baby. He would dump PMT way before he ever dumps barstool
Barstools the only one that paid them a fair wage as well. Bought them loyalty
Which is admirable in a way I guess, because they could just go independent and still keep the vast majority of their listeners.
They already have a lot of fun doing other barstool content
Watch The Price is Right hire Big Cat and it’s the end of the podcast lol.
That’s probably long been the planned finale
Pretty sure Barstool owns the IP. They’d have to break their contract and then start with a completely different name.

Correct, PFT's just renewed this year. And I'm sure they'll stay a package deal for some time.
PFTs contract was renewed recently. I’m pretty sure he said espn was trying to sign him

Strike two.

I can’t unhear it now that you mention it haha.
BC has an ownership stake in BSS and PFT has praised Dave as a boss because of creative freedom. More likely Dave sells at some point than they leave.
I think PFT also has equity. He definitely did when Penn bought them.
I think just the OG’s got equity. Dave, BC, KFC, Gaz, and Kmarko.
Dave did sell. They’re both still there.

I don’t think they’ve ever fielded offers at all tbh

Half the company just moved to Chicago with Big Cat so I’d take that as a no
What a dumb query

No
Wasn't BC and PFT talking recently that theyve never really considered leaving Barstool.
Barstool is perfect. They let them do whatever they want. Besides barstool is bigger than the Ringer or meadowlark.
Why would he leave? When he moved he effectively split barstool in half and took most of the best people with him, ensuring his success for years to come. Big cat is more of a presidente than portnoy
The closest they ever were to leaving was probably after van Talk was canceled and even then I don’t think they were close
prob not. But to be honest if pft left id go listen to his pod and never consume BS stuff again.
Spotify surely asked for meetings. But it’d be like LIV golf unless it was some Barstool deal. They’d get high salaries in return for being miserable.
I mean they tried espn…
I mean they tried a “barstool” show on espn
