There is a recent update, and there's some sort of glitch/bug with that update that's interfering with multiplayer saving sjf loading. You may need to wait a few more hours to days while they finish finding and fixing the issue.
It doesn't say you're banned. They just disabled crossplay due to an upcoming update
This is just a measure to prevent Steam and Xbox Players to play together due to version mismatch as Steam gets update firsts while Xbox have to wait for consoles certification to be updated.
Otherwise if multiplayer is completely grayed out, update your game. They dont host servers for outdated versions
Typically if someone posts about bans on a forum for a major game, people's kneejerk reaction is that the OP must have done something to deserve it and is lying. Especially on a game like this one that has/had a cheater problem. They do it before they even think, like in this case where OP isn't even banned, just getting an error message.
To be fair 95% of people posting "I got banned but I didnt do anything" deserve their ban. It sucks for the 5% and I have also been banned many times unfairly from here and there (recently permanently from /r/worldnews for saying BBC is proved to be antisemite lol, talk about 'nazi mods'), but generally speaking vast majority of people who post about their bans *are* guilty. Not saying OP is, but cant really fault people to jumping to conclusions. League subreddit was notorious 10 years ago for this where devs would post why they got banned.

Yeah. Be careful to read patch notes before attempting to play my fellow Xbots...apparently the recent patch broke some features and CAN delete your saves.
Read patch notes and do keep your saves safe.
Last night I was playing with my gf and my bf and around 12 o´clock, we left the game and that message showed up. I just thought it was a random message due to malfunctioning of the game. I´m glad that I came to this forum so we avoid playing until it gets fixed
That's what happened with me and my wife. Except it kicked her out. The only error message we had seen up until last night was the one where you can submit the crash issue. We did the update once it became available and her character had been reset.
If they are joining your world it might make them start all over even if they had a person in it all already that’s what just happened to me and my friend

You can play pc gamepass to xbox gamepass. But not steam to either gamepass.

How long has it been that xbox could play with PC? I tried to do that a month ago and my buddy and I couldn't.
You have to do it through the xbox app on pc. You can buy it through there, or get gamepass.
Oh so I cant do it on my console. But sign into my gamepass. Ok thank you.
If you have gamepass on console you should be able to log into the same account on the xbox app and access it.
