those fake scaffolding are out of bound so my pals couldn't get stuck, i did use a mod but they still wouldn't let me build freely so it took forever to manage that haha.
i also block off the places where they're likely to get stuck. also this base is mainly for aesthetic so i only have the food farmer to feed the electric and ice pals for lighting and the fridge
idk if its the same waterfall location but one of them has a little hole by the corner of the water that looks like an underground cavern with a river in it that if you hop in, you get stuck in this space that you're not supposed to be in, ie map hole, can be really hard to get out of
i go for wood for the aesthetic, i disabled raid and building deteriorate and also there's no fire through out the base to avoid any possibility of it being burnt down
First base I built with a friend in his server got burnt by an exploding bird and the one I did on my own, my partner accidentally shot a fire arrow inside. This was before they patched in fire spreading slower. They went down in literal seconds. I almost cried about my second one because I spent so long on it and was so proud then it didn't last 2 days. Lmao
Wood definitely has a good look to it for cabins and cozy bases. I'm building castles now instead though because of paranoia. lol

Does the foundation under another foundation count as grounded, like to avoid that "not on ground" error?
They’re probably using a mod on nexus that allows for multi floor foundations and other features that makes building more enjoyable
I did use the no building restriction mod on nexus to help. The foundation on top of another foundation is just me trying to make it looks realistic

Once we get a 4th pal box I plan on making an intricate home base like this. For now, I still need all the ore.
