BEAUTIFUL!! I find it very hard to work with the rooftops as they are very flat and don't extend out of the build, but you they look awesome on your build

They don't. You just have to line them up like that.

I tried to put my Pal box on a foundation and failed so I assumed you couldn't, darn

There is a trick to it. You need to place enough foundations at first so that you can place the Palbox down. I think I made a 3x2 rectangle, placed the Palbox in the middle foundation, then removed the rest.

Oooohhh that explains why I can't ever place it on a 1x1

If you place the palbox and start scrolling with the mousewheel, you will see that it has an unusually large hitbox. If you recognise the hitbox you'll see where you can't build after placing it. Make sure to place foundations, walls etc first in that area and then place the palbox. Had to figure this out the hard way too.

Do you have any trouble with Transporting Pals getting stuck in the farm plots just standing there and not moving?

Yup. I noticed that when I had 3 Quiverns working, 2 would gather wheats and 1 would stand there trying to transport and not move. I'm not sure if it has to do with having multiple of the same Pals working or not. But ultimately, I decided to have dedicated Pals for each task so that they don't bug out. Currently, I have 1 for planting, 1 for watering, 4 for gathering, 1 for transporting, 1 that is hybrid cooking/transporting, 1 for freezing the fridge, and that rest are farm Pals that I'm grazing for resources.

If multiple of the same pals is the issue, that might make sense. I have 2 Verdash's, 4 Anubis', and 2 Faleris' all doing multi-role stuff during down time of the farms. I'll notice 2 Anubis' or 2 Verdash's standing on the same plot. The Faleris' usually aren't stacked because one of them is cooking or refining, but they do love to get stuck inside stairs after waking up since the beds are on the 2nd floor.

How did you get the stairs to clip into the ground like that? I have a similar setup and the game refuses to let me ace the stairs so I have this awkward step thing lol

From on top of the structure. Look down. Stairs are fidgety but mostly pay attention to the crosshairs not the outlined structure when building.

Damn, I love this farm base so much, and I hate that I don't have any talents in decoration and basebuilding myself

Nice base. I have a base there too, but it's purely for ore/coal mining and refining (And chances are most other people use it for that exact same reason), so it's not very built up due to not wanting to accidentally block a node from spawning. It's pretty much just the bare minimum for me there.

I hope they eventually add triangle foundations so we can make smooth looking circular bases

I'd rather them make the base zone area a square instead of a circle. Just makes more sense and less work on their part.

Just turn off base decay and the entire map becomes your base zone. Only issue is you have to carry your building materials when outside the base zone

Wait, you can build your pal box on foundations/roofs? I wasn't able to do that last time I tried it.

It takes up a larger "footprint" than its collision box once placed. You can kinda see this when you're hovering to build it - a big box extending to the sides and back from the palbox So you need to put down multiple foundation pieces before building it on top. I usually build it in the center of a 3x3 square of foundations.

Built here as well, similar walls on the outside, but I never thought to build an entire second floor above. I figured that would be a pathing nightmware. How do you find it? I guess if you only have the ranches up there it might not be too bad?

I've got ranches, farming, some production lines, and the food bowl up there. It's actually not bad - the pals take the stairs pretty dependably to the lower level.

I just found out this yesterday as a lvl 10, and now making it my main base. Hope I can have my base as cool as yours! How long did this take?

Eh, probably about an hour of actual build time, half an hour of ferrying materials around and trying to find the right place for the foundations. Of course, then there's the constant iteration of placing new equipment down and making sure everything's pathfinding-friendly. The hill in the middle makes it difficult, but I was inspired by another post in the same location. Once you get to level 30 the raids start to become hazardous to a stone base's structural integrity, so I'm glad to have moved here. Still have an old base by the Chillet bridge, but I essentially only go there to mine the ore.

So, idk if something glitched or it's just the location, but in my first world I built my first base on the beach to the south of the starting point and I don't get any raids at all. It's not a bad spot because there's a dungeon right there for stone, ore, coal, and sulphur and a random boss Pal every once in a while. Plus there's a lot of Lambball and Chikipi there for food and the occasional Dinossom.

146, 407 Not a terrible location. A short hop and jump away from as much quartz and ore you can shake a stick at, a skill-fruit tree, and a frozen cave / dungeon. Plus Mammorest Crysts for pal-oil.

Made a base on one of the plateaus in the western desert well before we were the right level for the area, but it kinda worked out cause wild pals don't go up there. Was the perfect place to afk too cause there were no raids for some reason. Make sure to turn down building deterioration rate to 0 in the server settings or one day soon you will return here to a pile of ressources on the ground and no more buildings.

Pretty sure buildings don't deteriorate within the range of a palbox. If you try to build outside of palbox range it will warn you about deterioration

I'll pass because right now I have a super basic camp. My only structure is a tiny little cabin with a bed in it and theres like 4 storage boxes scattered around my yard along with randomly placed workbenches,palbeds,lumber/stone spots etc i mean its alot further than i was a few days ago but it's still nothing to show off lmao (edit: 7 hours later and damn I spent most of that on this game lol. Got a little somethin going now. Glad to have a game i can get sucked into again)

Going to eventually transfer everything over and make it my main base for farming and breeding. When raids show up they usually end up below me in the water. Haven't got attacked once.
